Attention Maplers, With the v.233 update, currently scheduled for Wednesday, June 15, 2022, MapleStory will be making a large change to how important data files are arranged and stored in order to fully enable the benefits of the 64-bit Game Client that we upgraded to during the v.231 update. As part of this update, however, old and no-longer-used files may not be removed by the patching process, and may cause MapleStory to take up considerably more space on the hard drive than before. As such, we strongly recommend that, when the Destiny: Remastered update arrives on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, all players fully reinstall MapleStory in lieu of patching normally. While we do not anticipate any issues occurring due to the orphaned files remaining present, for the best gameplay experience we highly recommend the full reinstall. You can learn more about the 64-bit client update in the earlier news post, but we are happy to announce that the additional options promised with that post will become available in-game in a new 64-bit option menu: Memory Map Input/Output (Default: Off): When enabled, this will allocate additional memory to MapleStory in order to improve data access speeds, improving overall performance. Max Memory Usage Limit (Default: 50% of system RAM): Restricts how much memory that MapleStory can use. A higher cap will improve performance and loading times. When the cap is reached, the system will attempt to release unused memory, which may cause performance issues. Thank you, - The MapleStory Team View on the Official Site
