Developer Comments: We would like to improve the various inconveniences experienced when completing the Tower of Oz content. First, we made improvements to various floors that provided an illogical gameplay experience, such as 7F where it took longer to wait for the summon than defeating monsters, and 43F where players had to remember an immense amount of information to solve the quiz. In addition, all floors have been changed to individual maps for a fair competition based on control. We removed the gameplay patterns that interfered with fair competition, such as stopping the Stupid Pill timer in places that aren’t the lobby area. On top of those mentioned, we’ve fixed the various issues reported by our players and made several Quality of Life improvements for players to enjoy the Tower of Oz content more comfortably. All floors except for the lobby area will be changed to be individual maps. Job mount skills will automatically be disabled when entering Undersea 12F, 17F, 22F, 23F, and 27F. The boss HP will be increased in Undersea 10F, 20F, and 30F. The stage progress will no longer display past the stage's target amount. Undersea 1F The condition for clearing the stage will be changed from Defeat Ancient Slime x100 / 50 million cumulative damage to Defeat Ancient Slime x100 / Defeat Ancient King Slime. Undersea 2F Card number 1 will no longer drop. Pets will no longer pick up the card item even when the Item Pouch Skill is enabled. Undersea 3F Ancient Turtle Golden Egg drops from the Ancient Orange Turtle and Ancient Blue Turtle. Obtaining this item once gives the effect of accumulating Ancient Turtle Egg x50. The NPCs Ripley, Secreta, and Fleta will no longer appear. Undersea 4F The balance score will now increase/decrease based on the monster's and not the character's location. The number of monsters that need to be defeated to change the balance will be decreased. Battle Mage's Hasty Aura, Draining Aura, Blue Aura, Dark Aura, Weakening Aura, Aura Scythe, and Dark Chain skills can now be used. Lara's Dragon Vein Reading skill can now be used. Undersea 6F Players can now check King Slime's location on the Mini Map. The atmospheric message will now appear when summoning King Slime. Undersea 7F Map will be renewed and changed to an arcade form. Undersea 9F The platforms arranged on each floor will decrease from 4 to 3. One of the 3 platforms on the floor just before will be moved if players select the wrong platform. The effect that displays the correct platform will become more visible. Undersea 13F Fixed the issue where the screen remains dark when returning to the lobby while playing. Undersea 18F Fixed the issue where the count didn't increase when obtaining the coconut in certain situations. Undersea 19F The map's overall structure will be updated. Character's Speed and Jump will be fixed to 100, and movement skills will be restricted. Fleta's Speed will be slightly increased. Fixed the issue where Fleta would move backward from a certain position and forward again. Undersea 21F The condition to summon Eliza will be changed from Defeat 300 map monsters (Grupin, Lioner, and Cellion) to Defeat 200 map monsters (Grupin, Lioner, and Cellion). The number of monsters defeated will now be displayed. Undersea 23F The character will automatically move to the nearest checkpoint when they fall while using the transparent platform even if they don't use the Clever Lady Hotline. Undersea 26F The stage will now start with monsters summoned on both sides of the map when entering. Undersea 27F The character's speed will be fixed to 160. Undersea 28F When all of one type of monster has been defeated, only the other type of monster will be summoned. Undersea 29F The number of Sand Crystals required to clear the stage will be changed from 1 - 7 to 1 - 4. Undersea 31F The Fairy's location can now be checked on the Mini Map. Atmospheric message will now appear when Fairy has been summoned. Undersea 32F Fixed the issue where Luminous's Reflection didn't spread between monsters in this map. Undersea 33F Players will now receive 6 keys each by type when entering the map for the first time. Players will receive 6 keys each by type again even when attempting it again by using the Clever Lady Hotline. However, the key items in the inventory and the items dropped in the map will all be removed when using the Clever Lady Hotline to attempt it again. Fixed the issue where only 30 Oz Points were deducted instead of 33 when the player returned to the starting point by using the Clever Lady Hotline. Fixed the issue where Secreta didn't disappear when closing the dialogue window with the ESC key after purchasing the key. Undersea 34F Rope Lift skill can no longer be used to move between the bottom and top maps. Blink skill’s Teleport function can no longer be used in this map. Undersea 36F The time it took to be able to hit again after hitting the monster will be reduced. Fixed the issue where talking to Secreta right after hitting a monster would immediately process it as wrong. Fixed the issue where after answering correctly by attacking a monster, it would then be marked as incorrect by hitting a monster again. Fixed the issue where sometimes the stage would get cleared even though the quiz was not solved. Undersea 37F The same type of monster will be summoned after a certain time when defeating monsters. Undersea 38F The "I want to help clear this floor." choice in the NPC dialogue window will now be the first choice. Fixed the issue where the dark energy changed immediately after ending the conversation with the NPC. Fixed the issue where players had to defeat 1 more than the target number to clear the stage. Undersea 39F The "I'm ready to get my quiz on." choice in the NPC dialogue window will now be the first choice. Some questions and choices will be updated to reflect the current state of the game. The frog monster choice, one of the choices in the "Which of these monsters is NOT a reptile?" quiz, is technically categorized as a reptile, but as this goes against common knowledge, the choice will change to Blue Flower Serpent. Fixed the issue where Alicia's Soul would have unnatural lines when the character fell in Tower of Oz 22F. Developer Comments: The Flag Race competition between guilds overheated after the November v.228 patch, and this brought excessive fatigue to Maplers in guilds. We moved a large portion of the Noblesse SP from Flag Race to Sharenian Culvert and made it so that the Noblesse SP from Flag Race is distributed based on absolute criteria. In addition, the upper ranks in Sharenian Culvert have been divided further and the points have been redistributed overall, making Noblesse SP easier to earn and alleviating competition between guilds. We will continue to keep an eye on these guild content and make additional fixes as necessary going forward. Fixed the issue where sometimes the notice indicating that Flag Race can start wouldn't show up. Fixed the issue where the Guild Emblem from the previous guild appeared next to the new guild’s name when the player joined a new guild that didn’t have an emblem. Fixed the issue where the mouse cursor would appear in unnatural locations when the player scrolled while entering a comment in the Guild Bulletin Board UI. Fixed the issue where sometimes the game client would close when the player attempted to delete a post from the Guild Bulletin Board. Back to Top Skill Improvements Fixed the issue where the skill sound effect was unnatural when Cannoneer applied Buckshot. Developer Comments: Since the skill sound effect was excessively loud when Buckshot was applied due to it dealing multiple hits, it has been improved. The skill sound effect may sound different as the current method is to play only some of the hit sound effects. It was improved by decreasing the skill sound effect's volume by a fixed rate instead of sampling. Dawn Warrior can now use Elemental Shift in the up direction while charging Styx Crossing. The damage of Blaze Wizard's Savage Flame - Blazing Lion will no longer disappear even if the monsters are gone when it activates. Battle Mage's Draining Aura will now restore MP by a fixed rate of Max MP instead of base MP. Wild Hunter's main Jaguar and some Jaguar skills will no longer be affected by the character's skill effect transparency. The bonus avoidability of Xenon's Instant Shock and Hybrid Defenses will now be additive. Lara’s Eruption, Absorption, and Manifestation skills will now prioritize consuming Unconstrained Dragon Vein within range. Lara’s Wakeup Call and Big Stretch skills will now prioritize consuming the closest Dragon Vein within range. The Dragon Vein distance limit, excluded from the target the Lara character is moving to, will be shortened when using Dragon Vein Traces. Developer Comments: Dragon Vein Traces exclude Dragon Veins that are too close to the character when searching for Dragon Veins to move to. When players try to move to the Dragon Vein at the top after using Leap Up, sometimes they won't move there due to how the current location of the character and the Dragon Vein at the top were too close. Removing the search exclusion logic will make it inconvenient as the character will be able to move to Dragon Veins that were too close. Since that’s the case, we are going to alleviate this inconvenience by reducing the distance limit by a little. The action of Unconstrained Dragon Vein will be canceled when Lara uses Dragon Vein Eruption or Dragon Vein Absorption while Unconstrained Dragon Vein is in use. Developer Comments: It was discovered that the action of the previously used skill could be canceled by using Eruption or Absorption skills on Unconstrained Dragon Vein to open the Dragon Vein selection UI. This has been fixed. Thus, it might feel like there's a delay in the action of Unconstrained Dragon Vein after the patch. Canceling the action of the previously used skill wasn't intended when Unconstrained Dragon Vein was developed, but there's an inconvenience where there is a delay in the process of going through two steps (create and then select attribute) due to the characteristics of the Dragon Vein. Thus, changes were made to cancel the action of Unconstrained Dragon Vein when Eruption or Absorption is used during Unconstrained Dragon Vein to open the attribute selection UI. Fixed the issue where Dark Sight was canceled when Invincible Belief was activated. Fixed the issue where the skill level of Combat Orders that was in effect was displayed in the Level Up Skills UI for Combat Orders. The resistance duration will be added to the Magic Crash skill description tooltip. Fixed the issue where the level of Last Resort's Lv. 2 buff icon wasn't properly displayed. Fixed the issue where sometimes the game client would close when Corsair jumped down and used Wings at the same time. Fixed the issue where sometimes Cannoneer's Poolmaker supplies would be spawned in unnatural locations. Fixed the issue where skill action was canceled when Dawn Warrior used Speeding Sunset and Moon Dancer close to Nightmare Golem in Lucid boss battle. Fixed the issue where the Super Knockback Resistance effect wasn't applied when Dawn Warrior used Speeding Sunset and Moon Dancer while equipping a one-handed sword. Wind Archer's Trifling Wind creation area can no longer be locked in the hit direction of the skill and its skill description tooltip will be updated. Trifling Wind can now be created regardless of the direction the character is facing when hitting with certain summon skills. Developer Comments: Trifling Wind is created by taking the hit direction of the attack skill and the current direction the character is facing into account. Since most of Wind Archer's skills are attack skills that hit in the direction the character is facing, Trifling Wind wasn’t created in an unnatural manner. However, the hit direction of summon skills like Howling Gale might not be consistent with the direction the character is facing. Thus, Trifling Wind may not be created at times. Due to that reason, Trifling Wind has been changed so that it can be created regardless of the hit direction of the skill when Trifling Wind is created. Night Walker’s Dark Sight activated with Shadow Jump (excluding the use of Shadow Dodge during Rapid Throw while in Dark Sight) will no longer overwrite normal Dark Sight. Night Walker will now move backward by pressing the key once when using Shadow Dodge during Rapid Throw while in Dark Sight. Developer Comments: If the Dark Sight that activated during Shadow Jump (hereafter Jump Dark Sight) overwrote the normal Dark Sight, there was an issue where the duration of normal Dark Sight changed to 2 seconds. To address this issue, it will no longer overwrite normal Dark Sight. However, Shadow Dodge is frequently used for evasion and can't be used during Dark Sight. This causes an issue where Shadow Dodge can't be used during Rapid Throw while in Dark Sight. Due to this reason, we allowed Jump Dark Sight to overwrite normal Dark Sight when Rapid Throw is used while in Dark Sight. We also made changes so that Night Walker can move backward by pressing the key once since it was discovered that the key had to be pressed twice to move backward when Shadow Dodge was activated during Rapid Throw while in Dark Sight. Fixed the issue where the effect of receiving Maha’s Blessing appeared in an unnatural location for Aran. Fixed the issue where sometimes Aran characters experienced game client disconnection when using Finisher - Hunter's Prey. Developer Comments: The monster defense rate reduction effect was designed to apply not only to the player but to all characters that hit the monster. With this intention in mind, the effects that applied to either physical/magic defense rate have been changed to apply to both so that all jobs can enjoy this effect. The skill description of those with the defense rate reduction rate has been clarified as well due to how the concept of defense and defense rate was confusing. If there is a boss present on the map when Lara awakens a Dragon Vein with Big Stretch, the search area for a boss to attack will be increased by about 87%. Developer Comments: Previously when there was a boss upon awakening a Dragon Vein with Big Stretch, the search area for targets to attack was smaller than the search area for a Dragon Vein to awaken. Thus, it has been changed so that the intangible force's attack range is the same as the search area for a Dragon Vein to awaken when a boss is present. Fixed the issue where sometimes the skills registered to pet Auto-Buff skill activated with a delay. Fixed the issue where sometimes True Arachnid Reflection couldn't attack monsters within range. Developer Comments: When different speed reduction effects were applied to monsters before, the speed reduction effect was overwritten with the latest one that was applied regardless of each skill's speed reduction amount. This made it inconvenient for players to freely use speed reduction skills. Thus, it has been changed so that the highest value speed reduction amount will be applied when skill with another speed reduction effect is used on monsters that already had speed reduction applied. The character's combat state will no longer persist every time the Flame Emblem of Solar Crest attacks. The speed and defense reduction effects applied to the monster will no longer be canceled even when Kinesis uses Ultimate - Deep Impact. Lara's Surging Essence will no longer be affected by attack reflection. Cadena's Apocalypse Cannon will now immediately fire the energy when attacking as much as the max number of attacks while amassing energy, and the duration will increase accordingly if the max number of attacks wasn't met. Developer Comments: Changes were made for Apocalypse Cannon to fire immediately when attacking more than a certain number while amassing since there was an issue where sometimes the last energy orb wouldn't fire and just disappear. It has been improved to always attack at a constant number by increasing the duration accordingly if the max number of attacks wasn’t met. The Specter State will automatically be released when Ark moves to a map where Specter Mode cannot be used. Back to Top Boss and Monster Improvements A feature will be added to the Graphics option to display the silhouette when hitting monsters. However, it will not be applied to some boss monsters. Developer Comments: There was an inconvenience in certain contents where the monster's pattern wasn't visible if the skill effect opacity wasn't lowered. Since that was the case, a feature was added in Options to display the monster's silhouette when hit so that players could enjoy the content without having to make the skill effect transparent. The following improvements will be made for Will boss battle: The character will now be invincible for a short period when they are forced to move the area due to the space collapsing pattern in Will Phase 1. Alleviate and add a warning message about the delay during the space collapsing pattern in Will Phase 1. Developer Comments: Invincibility will be applied for a short period to improve the issue where players die as soon as they move due to the remaining pattern when they are moved to the area during the space collapsing pattern in Will Phase 1. In addition, the space collapsing pattern delay has been alleviated and a warning message was added before it triggers to ease the negative experience due to the delay. Guardian Angel Slime The guide text that appears when entering a certain pattern for Guardian Angel Slime boss will be updated. Fixed the issue where the character went to the bottom and was instantly KO'd when using certain floating skills in the battle phase. Giant Potion can no longer be used in the following boss battle maps: Princess No, Mitsuhide, Gollux, Ranmaru, Julieta The guide message will be clarified when attempting to enter the boss battle map again. Archetypal Slime's Aid will no longer be activated upon pressing the Interact/Harvest key in order to install Arrow Blaster in Guardian Angel Slime boss battle. Shields can be created using moonlight orbs even when the invincibility effect is active during the space collapsing pattern of Will Phase 1 boss battle. Safety zones won't be generated on both edges during the Mitra's Authority pattern during Chosen Seren Phase 2 boss battle. Developer Comments: There was an issue where a safety zone wouldn't be generated on the left edge during the Mitra's Authority pattern for Chosen Seren. However, as many players have understood this as an intended design of the battle, we plan to keep it as is without applying any changes. In addition, we've made it so that safety zone won't be generated on the right edge either, reducing the overall difficulty.
