Newly created character during the event duration Existing Lv. 200-258 character (Lv. 200-258 Zero character that has completed up to Chapter 2) Reach level 260 in a flash with the Hyper Burning event! You can create one Hyper Burning character per account during the event duration. Hyper Burning can be applied to a newly created character during the event duration or an existing Lv. 200-258 character. You cannot cancel after setting a character as a Hyper Burning character. Note: Lv. 200-258 Zero character must have completed up to Chapter 2. Please note the following when setting a character as a Hyper Burning character: If the character’s current accumulated EXP amount exceeds the amount required to level up due to reduction of required EXP from the Growth Revamp, you must log into the character and level up before you can set it as a Hyper Burning character. Zero characters set as Hyper Burning character will not receive two additional levels each time it gains a level between Lv. 100 and Lv. 199. Zero characters set as Hyper Burning character cannot receive the event rewards until completing Chapter 2. In Burning World, create a Hyper Burning character by following the below instructions: Already Created Characters: Click the “Set as Hyper Burning” button on the Character Selection UI. Newly Created Characters: Click on the “Hyper” button on the pop-up UI. If you click “Cancel” or “No” button, a character without the burning effect will be created. Note: If you create a Hyper Burning character in Burning World, you cannot receive the Mega Burning Project rewards. Starting at Lv. 11, your Hyper Burning character will start to earn two additional levels each time it gains a level up to Lv. 260. Characters set as Hyper Burning character will be limited from using the following items until Lv. 260: Extreme Growth Potion Growth Potion (200-209, 200-219, 200-229) Typhoon Growth Potion Magnificent Growth Potion Hyper Burning Rewards Hyper Burning characters can receive Hyper Burning Rewards by clicking the ‘Claim Reward’ button on the Hyper Burning UI when they reach level milestones. Hyper Burning UI can be accessed by clicking the Hyper Burning icon within the star event notifier on the left side of the screen. Hyper Burning Rewards can be obtained once per account. If you delete your Hyper Burning character and create a new Hyper Burning character, the new character will be able to receive the Growth Support Rewards again. However, the new character will not be able to receive the Level Achievement Rewards that have already been claimed. Ex: If Lv. 200 - 220 rewards have been claimed with the deleted character, the new character will be able to claim Level Achievement Rewards starting Lv. 225 once they meet the level milestone. If you’ve set an existing character as your Hyper Burning character, it can still receive the Growth Support Rewards but not the Level Achievement Rewards for the levels it already surpassed. Ex: If Lv. 230 character is set as a Hyper Burning character, it can start receiving Level Achievement Rewards starting Lv. 235. In Burning World, you can enjoy even more special Level Achievement Rewards upon level achievement. Burning World rewards and regular world rewards for the same level milestone cannot be claimed at the same time. The Growth Support Rewards are the same regardless of the world the Hyper Burning character is in. Eternal Flame Title, Nodestone, and Infinite Flame Title Coupon can only be obtained with characters that completed 5th Job Advancement and the ‘A Greater Power’ quest. You can only select symbols from the regions the character cleared when using Arcane Symbol Selector and Sacred Symbol Selector. Each character can own one Eternal Flame Ring. A character that already has an Eternal Flame Ring in their possession cannot use the Eternal Flame Ring Coupon. Back to Top Instanced Sacred Power Hunting Zones November 15 (after maintenance) - February 6 at 11:59 PM UTC Powerful unknown energy is suppressing the concentration of Sacred Power in the map, causing phenomena to occur. Though, this is temporary and the unknown energy will eventually weaken! Accept the ‘Unknown Energy in Grandis’ quest within the star event notifier on the left side of the screen to hear about this unique phenomena by Edea. This quest will appear for characters Lv. 260 and above that completed the ‘A Divine Power’ quest. The following changes will be made to Sacred Power hunting maps during the event duration: The monsters that appear on the map will be instanced and not shared with other players. The map can be used by up to 2 players simultaneously. Monsters will not be summoned to the third player that enters the map. Elite monster, Elite Champion, and Elite Boss are not summoned. Rune of Darkness and Rune of Riches are not spawned. Party play will not be available on the map. If you enter the Sacred Power map while in a party, the party will be disbanded automatically. If a character dies, the personalized monsters are removed. Even if you revive at the same place, you cannot reclaim the ownership of the monsters. You must re-enter the map to have personalized monsters once again. Frenzy Totem effects will only apply to the instanced Sacred Power hunting map of the character that used the Frenzy Totem. The effect will disappear once the character leaves the instanced map. Frenzy Totem effects will function as they normally do outside of instanced maps. Note: Other hunting-related features such as Combo Kill/Multi KO, Bounty Hunter, and Inferno Wolf will remain the same. The following perks will be applied to all hunting maps during the event duration: Runes appear more frequently Activating the Rune gives more enhanced EXP effects Rune cooldown time reduced Pollo, Fritto, and Especia Portals appear more frequently Exiting from Inferno Wolf battle gives more EXP Back to Top Jett Job Advancement As mentioned in our previous patch notes, existing Jett characters that have yet to undergo a Job Advancement will be moved to the Jett’s Spaceship: Spaceship Cockpit map upon logging in after November 15 (after maintenance). You must proceed with Job Advancement to move out of the map. Please talk to Maple Administrator on the map to change Jett’s job to one of the 15 Explorer jobs. Please see below for more information on the Jett Job Transfer Event. Jett Job Transfer Event July 27 (after maintenance) - February 7 (after maintenance) During the event duration, Jett characters that are 4th Job or higher will be able to change their job to one of the 15 Explorer jobs. Upon changing jobs, Jett’s currently equipped items, stats, and skills will be converted appropriately for the new job. At the end of the Jett Job Transfer Event, all non-participating Jett characters will be converted into Beginners and any Jett-related achievements will be moved to the History tab. At the start of the first New Age patch (v. 246 update), players logging into any remaining Jett characters will be required to transfer to an Explorer class. Equipment Conversion Stats, Bonus Stats, Scroll Enhancements, Star Force Enhancements, Potentials, and Bonus Potentials of all equipped items will be changed to the primary stat of the Explorer Job chosen during the transfer. Job-specific equipment such as Fafnir, Absolab, Arcane Umbra, Sweetwater, Eternal, Genesis, Sengoku Era, Sengoku Era (Lupine), Terminus, and Lv.100+ Secondary Weapons and Emblems will be converted to items that can be equipped by the Explorer Job chosen during the transfer. (Note: Temporary equipment are excluded) Other job-restricted equipment will have their enhanced values changed, but the job restriction will not be changed. When transferring to a Magician job, the Attack stat on a Magnificent Soul will be changed to Magic Attack stat. The Star Force Enhancement level of the converted items will be kept. Items that are not equipped will be excluded from the Equipment Transfer. Sealed and Unsealed Genesis weapons in your inventory will be converted. Job advancement to Cannoneer is not possible if Susano-o's Baleful Blaster weapon is equipped. The following job-specific equipment items and sets will be converted to the job-specific items appropriate for the new job that is chosen. Additional Event Notes Existing Jett characters are restricted from participating in ranked content and events. In order to receive the compensation for completing the Jett Job Advancement to Explorer rewards, ALL Jett characters in the world must Job Advance to one of the available Explorer classes. Ex: If you transferred one Jett to an Explorer Job, but you have additional Jett characters that have not transferred, you will NOT be able to claim the rewards until the remaining Jett characters have transferred. The number of Jett characters required to transfer is based on the number of Jett characters you have in the world when the event started July 27 (after maintenance). Therefore, we strongly recommend not deleting any Jett characters once the event has started. Player Ranking Changes We applied a few changes to the Player Rankings on the Official MapleStory Website to handle the removal of Jett and address the concerns around the Beginner Explorer rankings. Jett will be removed from the Explorer Job rankings section and added to the Classic Rankings section. This new “Classic Jett” rankings will no longer be updated, but instead serve as a remembrance of the dedication and hard work you Maplers have put into Jett characters. At the end of the Jett Job Transfer Event, the existing Beginner rankings will remain, but we will be adding a new Beginner rankings section to exclude any of the Jett characters that were converted to Beginners.
