MapleStory is a constantly evolving game, full of heroes, villains, and everything in between. But none of them are as important to us as you, our players who make Maple World what it is! The history of MapleStory is a long and winding one, but now we'd like to turn the attention to you, and hear more about your own journeys that you've taken as MapleStory has grown over the years. The question we'd like to ask you all is: What's Your MapleStory? If you'd like to submit your story, you can do so via this form. For today's edition of What's Your MapleStory, we spoke to Occidaemon about her favorite memories playing MapleStory, and how the game has helped her to overcome some of life's greatest challenges ~ How did you first start playing MapleStory? My cousin introduced me to MapleStory sometime in 2011 via the Facebook game. What are some of your first memories of playing MapleStory? My first few memories are that of being the "LHC Bishop" of Nova, as I was the only active Bishop to come to Lion Heart Castle with consistent timing. I also remember staying up till 4a.m. to play the Demon Slayer class, which is still my main today, and I made it to level 13 before the servers went down for emergency maintenance. How has MapleStory impacted your life? MapleStory saved me, in a sense. In 2013, my mother passed away. I was very depressed at the time, but my guild kept me going. We had recently lost our leader, and presumed him dead (he was in a car accident last we heard from him), and they needed a leader, which became me. I led that guild for two good years, Tyrant of Renegades...and it kept me going. Maple means so much to me. I hope one day I can give back to it - it's hard to put it all into words sometimes. What’s your favorite part of Maple World to explore, and why? My favorite place in Maple World is the Arcane River. In particular I like Arcana the most. The music is soft, and the story of the “Song of Spirits” really adds to that as the music changes throughout the area. The little spirits are also sooooo cute to hang around with. I will literally afk over by the pile of Rock Spirits and imagine laying among them. They also are so cute to talk to - “I weally wish I wuz a Wock Spiwit sho I can shnuggle wif my brudders.” Honestly I hope I can get every Rock Spirit item in the game one day! If you are ever around Reboot on a good day, you may find me under the Spirit Tree in Arcana, dozing to the lullaby of the spirits. View on the Official Site
