A new notice has been posted, talking about an error that occurred due to some of the changes they made in the last patch to resetting potential. As compensation, we will be receiving a Miracle Time event! KMS’ Miracle Time events only started again a few years ago and they only happen once per year, so this is pretty surprising. Hello. This is MapleStory. We have discovered an error where the rates of potential lines that appeared when resetting potential with Cubes were different than the rates shown on the homepage in certain situations. Confirmed Problem Details In the [August 12, 2021 update], after changing it so that a maximum of one potential line from the “Decent skills” group could appear, an error occurred where certain other potential lines also could only have appeared a maximum of one time. This caused an problem where there was a limit for certain potential lines so they could only appear once out of three lines when resetting potential with Cubes. The potential lines that could only appear once out of the three lines due to this error were STR/DEX/INT/LUK/Max HP/Max MP +N, which were not highly sought after. This was a situation where (other than Rare rank) more preferred potential lines could be acquired at a slightly higher rate. This error occurred after the maintenance on August 12, 2021, and for a period of time, (other than Rare rank) more preferred potential lines could be acquired at a slightly higher rate than usual through this error. So for minimum equity, instead of immediately changing the duplicate line limit, we will correct this error during the August 19 server check. In addition, our investigation concluded that there were no other types of Cube rate errors other than this. We apologize for causing much concern to players. Cube Rate Error Apology Compensation Since this error ultimately helped those who reset potential with Cubes, instead of individually rewarding players who did or did not reset potential with Cubes, we are planning to hold a Miracle Time where all players who were confused about the rates because of this error can participate.
