Pathfinder Basic Information Pathfinder A curious adventurer fascinated by ancient relics. They are an archer who can use ancient power due to the effects of a curse obtained while on an expedition. Wielding an exclusive weapon, the Ancient Bow, their special characteristic is linking 3 basic archery skills in battle to charge up the Relic Gauge. When the Relic Gauge is charged, you can user powerful Ancient Force skills. Some skills can be enhanced with the special characteristics of the basic archery skills. Attack: 4/5 Defense: 2/5 Mobility: 4/5 Difficulty: 3/5 Pathfinder is an Adventurer archer class. However, it will be restricted from Open Job Advancement for a certain period of time. Being an Adventurer, Phantom can steal some of its skills. Pathfinder’s job names are: Archer -> Ancient Archer -> Chaser -> Pathfinder. Pathfinder’s Maple Union effect is 10/20/40/80/100 DEX. It can be charged up by using the 3 different Cardinal Force skills. The Relic Gauge can be charged up to 1000, and various powerful Ancient Force and Enchant Force skills can be used by consuming it. In addition, whenever you use a Cardinal Force skill, your Relic’s Pattern will change to match. It can be either Discharge, Blast, or Transition (based on the Cardinal Force skill). Based on your current Pattern, Enchant Force skills will be enhanced in various ways. Generally, Discharge enhancements will make it easier to mob, Blast enhancements are focused on hitting a small number of enemies hard (like for bosses), and Transition enhancements are for movement and inflicting debuffs. Skills Beginner Return to Partem: Return to the village of Karupa. (max level: 1) Level 1: Cooldown: 600 seconds. Ancient Curse: Due to an unknown curse, your stats are decreased. The effects of the curse apply while you are wearing an Ancient Bow, but the curse is weakened based on the strength of your equipped Relic. Skills using the Ancient Bow do not consume arrows. Level 1: Decreases your critical rate by 20%, defense by 20%, and status resistance by 20. Level 2: Decreases defense by 20% and status resistance by 20. Level 3: Decreases your status resistance by 20. Level 4: No effect. First Job Curse Weakening I: Activate the Relic’s power through continuous combat to weaken the Ancient Curse. (max level: 1) Level 1: When you attack using Cardinal Force skills, this skill will activate and stack up to 10 times. Each stack increases your critical rate by 2%. This skill can only be activated when Ancient Curse is decreasing your critical rate. Cardinal Discharge: [Cardinal Force] Shoot arrows at enemies within range with an archery technique that hits your targets dead on. You will not take damage if the guided arrows hit enemies using Damage Reflect. (max level: 20) (level 20 required for the 2nd job skill Cardinal Discharge Enhancement) Level 20: Consumes 10 MP. Fire arrows that deal 90% damage 4 times on up to 4 enemies. If a boss monster is in range when this skill is used, fire an additional 1 arrow at a single enemy. Double Jump: Jump once more while in the air to move a certain distance. You can press the ↑↑ keys to jump upwards or the ↓↓ keys to quickly fall down. (max level: 10) Level 10: Consumes 10 MP, jump a certain distance. Archer Mastery: Learn the basics of archery, increasing your attack range, movement speed, and maximum movement speed. (max level: 15) Level 15: 120 attack range, 30 movement speed, maximum movement speed increased to 160. Critical Shot: Increase your critical rate. (max level: 20) Level 20: Increases your critical rate by 40%. Second Job Relic Charge I: Activate your equipped Relic by collecting energy through combat. When you use a Cardinal Force skill, your Relic’s Pattern will be changed. When the skill hits an enemy, your Relic Gauge will be charged. Using powerful Ancient Force skills will consume your Relic Gauge. After using a Cardinal Force skill, you can link together other Cardinal Force or Ancient Force skills to use them faster. (max level: 1) Level 1: Maximum Relic Gauge of 1000. When a Cardinal Force skill hits an enemy, charge 10 Relic Gauge. When Cardinal Discharge’s guided arrows hit an enemy, charge 5 Relic Gauge per arrow. When you use another Cardinal Force skill, all Ancient Force skills (except 5th job) will have their cooldowns decreased by 0.5 seconds. Curse Weakening I: Activate the Relic’s power through continuous combat to weaken the Ancient Curse further. (max level: 1) Level 1: When you attack using Cardinal Force skills, this skill will activate and stack up to 10 times. Each stack increases your defense by 2%. This skill can only be activated when Ancient Curse is decreasing your defense. Cardinal Discharge Enhancement: [Cardinal Force] Enhance Cardinal Discharge. (max level: 10) (level 20 required for the 4th job skill Advanced Cardinal Force) Level 10: Consumes 15 MP. Fire arrows that deal 200% damage 4 times on up to 5 enemies. If a boss monster is in range when this skill is used, fire an additional 1 arrow at a single enemy. Cardinal Blast: [Cardinal Force] Shoot an exploding arrow that travels in a straight line with an archery technique that fires condensed energy. The arrow will explode when it touches an enemy or when it reaches its maximum range. (max level: 20) (level 20 required for the 3rd job skill Cardinal Blast Enhancement) Level 20: Consumes 20 MP. Fire an exploding arrow that deals 200% damage 4 times on up to 4 enemies. For every 1 less enemy hit than the maximum, this skill will deal an additional 10% final damage. Split Mistel: [Ancient Force] Use the Relic’s power to create and fire an arrow imbued with a mysterious aura. When the fired arrow pierces through an enemy, create additional magic arrows that attack nearby enemies. (max level: 19) Level 19: Consumes 50 Relic Gauge. Fire an arrow that deals 200% damage 4 times on up to 8 enemies, piercing through them. Every time the arrow pierces through an enemy, create 2 magic arrows that deal 100% damage 4 times. Cooldown: 10 seconds. Ancient Bow Booster: Consume MP to increase the attack speed of the Ancient Bow by 2 stages for a certain period of time. (required skill: level 5 Ancient Bow Mastery) (max level: 10) Level 10: Consumes 11 MP. For 300 seconds, increase the Ancient Bow’s attack speed. Additional Discharge: Create magic arrows using the Relic’s stored Discharge power. The created arrows will chase and attack nearby enemies for a certain period of time. You will not take damage if the magic arrows attack enemies using Damage Reflect. (required skill: level 5 Cardinal Discharge Enhancement) (max level: 20) Level 20: When you use Cardinal Blast while the Relic is in the Discharge Pattern, there is a 40% chance to create 3 magic arrows. The created magic arrows will chase and attack nearby enemies for 2 seconds, dealing 100% damage 3 times. Ancient Bow Mastery: Increase your Ancient Bow mastery and attack. (max level: 10) (level 10 required for the 4th job skill Ancient Bow Expert) Level 10: Increases your Ancient Bow mastery by 50% and attack by 20. Physical Training: By training your body, permanently increase your STR and DEX. (max level: 5) Level 5: Permanently increases your STR by 30 and DEX by 30. Third Job Curse Weakening III: Activate the Relic’s power through continuous combat to weaken the Ancient Curse greatly. (max level: 1) Level 1: When you attack using Cardinal Force skills, this skill will activate and stack up to 10 times. Each stack increases your status resistance by 2. This skill can only be activated when Ancient Curse is decreasing your status resistance. Cardinal Blast Enhancement: [Cardinal Force] Enhance Cardinal Blast. (max level: 10) (level 20 required for the 4th job skill Advanced Cardinal Force) Level 10: Consumes 20 MP. Fire an exploding arrow that deals 300% damage 4 times on up to 5 enemies. For every 1 less enemy hit than the maximum, this skill will deal an additional 10% final damage. Cardinal Transition: [Cardinal Force] Activate the Speed Aura stored in your weapon to move quickly, then swing your weapon to attack nearby enemies with an archery movement technique. You can use this skill with the arrow keys to move your character forwards or upwards. If you use it without an arrow key, you will swing your weapon in place. (max level: 20) (level 20 required for the 4th job skill Advanced Cardinal Force) Level 20: Consumes 20 MP, consumes 1 Speed Aura. Deals 400% damage 5 times on up to 6 enemies nearby. You prepare 1 Speed Aura every 7 seconds, and can store up to 5 at a time. Triple Impact: [Ancient Force] Instantly jump upwards and fire 3 exploding arrows downwards. The arrows will explode when they touch an enemy or when they reaches their maximum range. If you are already in the air, you will shoot the arrows without jumping. (max level: 20) Level 20: Consumes 50 Relic Gauge. Fire 3 exploding arrows that deal 400% damage 5 times on up to 4 enemies. Raven: Summon a Raven with the dark element for a certain period of time. The summoned Raven can attack up to 4 enemies at the same time. You will not take damage if the Raven attacks enemies using Damage Reflect. In addition, permanently increase your defense. (max level: 10) Level 10: Consumes 70 MP. Summon a Raven for 220 seconds. The Raven will deal 390% damage on up to 4 enemies. [Passive Effect: increases defense by 30%] Curse Tolerance: Based on your resistance to the Ancient Curse, for a certain amount of time, you can resist various statuses better. If you are inflicted with a status condition during this buff, your status resistance will be increased. Permanently increases your status resistance and elemental resistance. (max level: 14) Level 14: Consumes 58 MP. For 300 seconds, increases your status resistance by 30. If you are inflicted with a status while this buff is active, your status resistance will be increased by an additional 20, stacking up to 5 times. [Passive Effect: increases your status resistance by 30 and elemental resistance by 30%] Ancient Guidance: When the Relic Gauge is filled by a certain amount, a powerful strength flows from the Relic to enhance Pathfinder’s combat abilities. The Relic’s activation status is shown around the Relic Gauge. When the Gauge is full, the Relic’s activation amount will not be increased. (max level: 10) Level 10: When the Relic Gauge is filled by 1000, for 30 seconds, your final damage is increased by 30%. [Passive Effect: increases your HP by 50% and your final damage by 10%.] Additional Blast: Create magic arrows using the Relic’s stored Blast power. The created arrows will chase and attack nearby enemies. You will not take damage if the magic arrows attack enemies using Damage Reflect. (required skill: level 5 Cardinal Blast Enhancement) (max level: 20) Level 20: When you use Cardinal Discharge while the Relic is in the Blast Pattern, there is a 40% chance to create 2 magic arrows. The created magic arrows will chase and explode on up to 4 nearby enemies for 2 seconds, dealing 150% damage 3 times. Dodge: Avoid enemy attacks at a certain rate. When you successfully avoid an attack, all of your attacks will be critical hits for 1 second. (max level: 10) Level 10: 30% chance to avoid attacks. When you successfully avoid an attack, all of your attacks will be critical hits for 1 second. Essence of Archer: Increase your combat ability by learning the essence of archery. (max level: 10) Level 10: Increases your critical rate by 10%, damage by 20%, and defense ignore by 30%. Fourth Job Relic Charge II: With the completed Relic’s power, its energy circulation is enhanced, allowing you to use your Cardinal Force’s power to enhance Enchant Force skills. Based on your Relic’s Pattern, the Enchant Force skill’s characteristics will change. After using an Enchant Force skill, your Relic’s Pattern will be reset. After using a Cardinal Force skill, you can link together other Enchant Force skills to use them faster. (max level: 1) Level 1: When a Cardinal Force skill hits an enemy, charge 20 Relic Gauge. When Cardinal Discharge’s guided arrows hit an enemy, charge 10 Relic Gauge per arrow. When Raven hits an enemy, charge 10 Relic Gauge. When you use another Cardinal Force skill, all Ancient Force/Enchant Force skills (except 5th job) will have their cooldowns decreased by 1 second. Curse Transition: Overcome the Ancient Curse and use it to activate a curse through combat. Skills using the bow and special attacks will inflict a curse on enemies. The Raven will prioritize attacks on enemies inflicted with the debuff. (max level: 1) Level 1: When certain skills hit an enemy, inflict the Ancient Curse debuff that stacks up to 5 times for 15 seconds. Skills using the Ancient Bow that hit debuffed enemies will have their critical damage increased by 4% per stack. Advanced Cardinal Force: With the completed Relic’s power, all Cardinal Force skills are enhanced. (required skills: level 10 Cardinal Discharge Enhancement, level 10 Cardinal Blast Enhancement, level 20 Cardinal Transition) (max level: 20) Level 20: Cardinal Force skills consume 30 MP. While casting Cardinal Force skills, you cannot be knocked back by any enemy attacks. Cardinal Force skills will inflict 1 stack of the Ancient Curse debuff on enemies hit. Cardinal Discharge: Fire arrows that deal 200% damage 4 times on up to 6 enemies. If a boss monster is in range when this skill is used, fire an additional 1 arrow at a single enemy. Cardinal Blast: Fire an exploding arrow that deals 400% damage 4 times on up to 6 enemies. For every 1 less enemy hit than the maximum, this skill will deal an additional 10% final damage. Cardinal Transition: Consumes 1 Speed Aura. Deals 540% damage 5 times on up to 7 enemies nearby. You prepare 1 Speed Aura every 7 seconds, and can store up to 5 at a time. Edge of Resonance: [Ancient Force] Summon soul blades that resonate with the Ancient Curse to attack nearby enemies. Enemies inflicted with the Ancient Curse debuff will take more damage. This skill can be used while using other skills. (max level: 30) Level 30: Consumes 100 Relic Gauge. Deals 600% damage 5 times on up to 8 enemies. Enemies inflicted with the Ancient Curse debuff will take an additional 10% final damage per stack. Cooldown: 15 seconds. Combo Assault: [Enchant Force] After attacking nearby enemies with your bow, attack a wide range of enemies with an arrow that flies through the air. Combo Assault will change based on your Relic’s current Pattern, then reset it afterwards. Discharge Enhancement: The arrow will attack a wider range of enemies. Blast Enhancement: The bow attack will deal a powerful strike to 1 enemy. Transition Enhancement: The bow attack will inflict enemies with more of the Ancient Curse debuff. (max level: 30) Level 30: Consumes 150 Relic Gauge. The bow attack deals 500% damage 7 times on up to 4 enemies. Enemies hit will be be inflicted with 1 stack of the Ancient Curse Debuff. The arrow will deal 550% damage 5 times on up to 10 enemies. Cooldown: 20 seconds. Discharge Enhancement: Consumes 150 Relic Gauge. The bow attack deals 600% damage 7 times on up to 5 enemies. Enemies hit will be be inflicted with 1 stack of the Ancient Curse Debuff. The arrow will deal 650% damage 4 times on up to 12 enemies. Cooldown: 20 seconds. Blast Enhancement: Consumes 150 Relic Gauge. The bow attack deals 600% damage 8 times on 1 enemy. Enemies hit will be be inflicted with 1 stack of the Ancient Curse Debuff. The arrow will deal 600% damage 5 times on up to 10 enemies. Cooldown: 20 seconds. Transition Enhancement: Consumes 150 Relic Gauge. The bow attack deals 600% damage 7 times on up to 4 enemies. Enemies hit will be be inflicted with 5 stacks of the Ancient Curse Debuff. The arrow will deal 650% damage 5 times on up to 10 enemies. Cooldown: 20 seconds. Sharp Eyes: For a certain period of time, reveal the ability to find enemy weakspots to deal critical hits to party members. (max level: 30) Level 30: Consumes 45 MP. For 300 seconds, increases your critical rate by 20% and critical damage by 15%. Maple Warrior: For a certain period of time, increase your party members’ all stats by a certain percentage. This skill does not stack with Maple Warrior, Cygnus Knights, Nova’s Warrior, Another World’s Warrior, or Rhinne’s Prayer. (max level: 30) Level 30: Consumes 70 MP. For 900 seconds, increases all directly invested stats by 15%. Hero’s Will: Concentrate to free yourself from statuses. After being used, resist all statuses for 3 seconds. Certain statuses cannot be removed. (max level: 5) Level 5: Consumes 30 MP. Cooldown: 360 seconds. Additional Transition: Fire arrows containing the curse’s aura when you use Cardinal Discharge or Cardinal Blast using the Relic’s stored Transition power. Permanently increases your attack. (required skill: level 20 Cardinal Transition) (max level: 20) Level 20: When you use Cardinal Discharge or Cardinal Blast while the Relic is in the Transition Pattern, for 7 seconds, your next 6 attacks will have a 40% chance to inflict 1 Ancient Curse debuff. Permanently increases your attack by 20%. Ancient Archery: Enhance your combat ability by training in ancient archery techniques. (max level: 30) Level 30: Increases Additional Discharge’s damage by 50%p, Additional Blast’s Damage by 50%p, Split Mistel’s final arrow’s damage by 200%p, Split Mistel’s additional magic arrows by 100%p, and Triple Impact’s explosion damage by 200%p. Increases Ancient Force/Enchant Force skills’ final damage by 10% and damage to bosses by 50%. Ancient Bow Expert: Increases your Ancient Bow mastery, attack, and critical damage. (max level: 30) Level 30: Increases your Ancient Bow mastery to 70%, attack by 60, and critical damage by 8%. Illusion Step: Increases your DEX and avoid rate and decreases damage taken. (max level: 30) Level 30: Increases DEX By 30, gives an additional 30% chance to avoid attacks, and decreases damage taken by 20%. Hyper Skills Sharp Eyes – Persist: Sharp Eyes’ duration is increased by 30 seconds. [required level: 140] Sharp Eyes – Ignore Guard: Sharp Eyes gains an additional effect of 5% defense ignore. [required leve: 150] Sharp Eyes – Critical Rate: Sharp Eyes’ critical rate boost is increased by 5%. Instantly charges your Relic Gauge to the maximum amount (this charge will count for activation of Ancient Guidance). For 30 seconds, Additional Discharge and Additional Blast will create 1 additional magic arrow when activated, and Cardinal Transition’s Speed Aura preparation time will be decreased to 3 seconds. Cooldown: 90 seconds. Ancient Astra: [Enchant Force] Unleash a powerful attack on enemies by manifesting legendary arrows. Ancient Astra will change based on your Relic’s current Pattern, then reset it afterwards. Discharge Enhancement: When it hits an enemy, create additional magic arrows. Blast Enhancement: Aim at an enemy and fire an arrow with maximum destructive power. Transition Enhancement: You can move while attacking. [required level: 160] TN Note: An astra is a supernatural weapon in Hindu mythology, imbued with spiritual power! Level 1: Consumes 80 Relic Gauge per second. While the key is held down, deals 400% damage 6 times on up to 10 enemies for up to 15 seconds. Cooldown: 80 seconds. Discharge Enhancement: Consumes 80 Relic Gauge per second. While the key is held down, deals 500% damage 6 times on up to 10 enemies for up to 15 seconds. For each enemy hit, there is a 30% chance to create 2 magic arrows that deal 300% damage 2 times. While using this skill, damage from enemy attacks (including % HP attacks) will be decreased by 20%. Cooldown: 80 seconds. Blast Enhancement: Consumes 80 Relic Gauge per second. While the key is held down, fire an arrow at certain intervals at a specified angle using the ↑ or ↓ arrow keys for up to 15 seconds. The first arrow cannot be angled and will fire straight ahead. The arrows will explode when they touch an enemy or when they reaches their maximum range. The explosions will deal 1800% damage 10 times on up to 12 enemies. While using this skill, damage from enemy attacks (including % HP attacks) will be decreased by 40%. Cooldown: 80 seconds. Transition Enhancement: Consumes 80 Relic Gauge per second. While the key is held down, deals 500% damage 6 times on up to 10 enemies for up to 15 seconds. You can move forwards and backwards with the arrow keys while using this skill. Cooldown: 80 seconds. Epic Adventure: With a buff that can only be used by legendary adventurers who have explored Maple World, increase your damage. [required level: 190] Level 190: Consumes 100 MP. For 60 seconds, increases your damage by 10%. Cooldown: 120 seconds. Party members who are Adventurers will receive its effects. In fact, Evolve’s skill icon and effects have been changed (for all 3 Adventurer archers) with Pathfinder’s addition. The attack ignores 100% of enemies’ defenses. Cooldown: 120 seconds. Raven Tempest: [Ancient Force] Using the Relic’s power, unleash the Raven’s true form that destroys everything. The summoned Raven will find enemies and move towards them. You can use the skill key to change the Raven’s direction. You can use this skill while Raven or Evolve are summoned. You will not take damage if the Raven attacks enemies using Damage Reflect. (max level: 25) Level 25: Consumes 300 Relic Gauge. Summon the Raven for 25 seconds. The Raven will deal 900% damage 5 times on up to 12 enemies. When it attacks, charge the Relic Gauge by 20. Cooldown on changing directions: 2 seconds. Cooldown: 120 seconds. Obsidian Barrier: [Enchant Force] Amplify the Relic’s power to protect you and your party members. Party members who receive protection will receive increased critical damage when attacking enemies inflicted with the Ancient Curse Debuff. Obsidian Barrier will change based on your Relic’s current Pattern, then reset it afterwards. Discharge Enhancement: Each party member will have their own personal shields. Blast Enhancement: The shield’s size will be increased. Transition Enhancement: You can move the shield. (max level: 25) Level 25: Consumes 500 Relic Gauge. For 15 seconds, decreases damage taken from % HP attacks by 20%. The shield will deal 700% damage 4 times on up to 8 enemies within range continuously. Cooldown: 200 seconds. Improvements and Bug Fixes Fixed an error where the game exit confirmation window had incorrect invitation event information. Fixed an error where applying a Maple Union preset where the inner areas’ stats were not set caused the client to exit. If you have any Hair or Face Coupons that are not currently being sold, they will now appear in the menus of NPCs at each town’s hair and face shops. Monster and equipment names including ‘에이션트’ have been changed to ‘에인션트’. (typo fix) You can now use the Monster Park Honor’s Thursday Box if you have 9 million Honor or more. However, you will only receive rewards that are not Honor. Fixed an error where changing the position of Kaiser on the character select window would cause it to be stuck in combat stance. Fixed an error where characters did not take damage over time while Papulatus was in its alarm pattern. Fixed an error where characters did not take damage over time while inside Von Bon’s world. Adventure Battle Horizon The Adventure Battle Horizon event will run from January 31 to February 27. Battle Horizon is competitive content where 4 players fight monsters in a single battlefield. Take control of the battlefield to get Adventure Points and special rewards! Every day from 10am to 12am, you can talk to the NPC Sunny to enter the battle queue. 4 players with similar rankings will be matched up (from any world) and will enter the battlefield for 3 minutes. The battlefield will be randomly chosen from two maps: Ruler of the Earth and Ruler of the Sky. Training dummies will be summoned for each character on the battlefield. There will also be Rulers and Rulers’ Training Dummies which are shared by all characters. When you defeat a monster or deal a certain amount of damage to a Ruler’s monster, you’ll gain points and SP. You can consume your SP to use Ancient Warrior skills to interfere with your enemies or defend yourself. You will be ranked based on the total number of Points you collect. Based on your rank, you’ll earn Ranking Points. When you have participated 10 times or more, your Ranking will be registered and you can talk to Sunny to see your ranking and battle results. You can receive weekly rewards and season rewards based on your acquired Ranking Points. When you complete a round normally, you’ll receive 4,000 Adventure Points. You can acquire a total of 20,000 Adventure Points per day per Maple ID. When you participate 10 times, you will receive 200 Adventure Coins. This reward can only be acquired once per Maple ID. If you play 10 games or more in a week, you’ll receive weekly rewards. These will be given on Thursdays at 10am. You can only receive the rewards before the end of the next week (otherwise they will be forfeited). Week 1: January 31~February 6 Week 2: February 7~13 Week 3: February 14~20 Week 4: February 21~27 You will receive a certain amount of Adventure Coins, based on which percentage of players you were ranked higher than. This event is available for characters that were created after the patch (except for the new job Pathfinder, which can participate even if it was created before this patch). Zeros cannot participate. When you reach certain levels on your new character, you’ll unlock Step Up Missions which will give you special rewards once you complete them. To proceed with the next Step Up Mission, you need to complete your current mission and reach the level requirement. Certain Step Up Mission rewards can only be redeemed once per world, other characters who complete these missions will receive alternative rewards. If you complete all of the Step Up Missions, you’ll receive the Maple Know-It-All title (10 all stats, 500 HP, 5 attack/magic attack, 10% defense ignore, permanently tradeable through the account). You can get this once per Maple ID. NOTE: these are the missions from the original event, I haven’t updated them with the new requirements yet.
