    A new test server patch was released today, with a couple events (Haste & Camilla’s Pop-Up Store) as well as more job balancing and various improvements. From the roadmap they shared for the first half of 2022, the only thing included in this patch is the reward phases for bosses.

    This one will hit the official servers next week, and the next test server patch about halfway through April should be MapleStory’s 19th anniversary events.

    Adventurer Archers

    • [​IMG] Evolve: The monster hit effect has been changed.

    Bowmaster

    • [​IMG] Quiver Cartridge: The skill has been improved so that the buff icon displayed on the tooltip matches the currently applied arrowhead.
    • [​IMG] Phoenix: The attack range has been increased by about 32%.
    • [​IMG] Flash Mirage: The piercing attack’s activation cycle has been decreased by 75%. The maximum number of enemies hit by one activation of the piercing attack has been increased from 1 to 5. The arrow can attack up to 5 enemies that it pierces through, and it can only attack up to 5 enemies in its path to the targeted enemy. The targeted attack will no longer affect the arrow’s piercing attack limit. The skill will have a piercing attack that can hit up to 5 enemies in its path to the targeted enemy and a separate attack on the targeted enemy.

    Developer Notes:

    With the Adventurer remaster update on January 27, Flash Mirage was planned to be a skill with the following specifications.

    1. The afterimage fires an arrow that automatically tracks the targeted enemy, with a piercing attack that hits enemies it moves through on its path to the targeted enemy. The piercing attack can fly and attack up to 5 enemies.
    2. If the first targeted enemy disappeared while the arrow was in the process of moving towards it, it would search for a new target within a certain range of the arrow’s location.

    However, after the remaster update, we found that the piercing attack was not applied properly so we fixed it in the February 24 update. During this process, an error occured where the piercing attack applied to the targeted enemy as well, resulting in the following phenomenon.

    1. The enemy targeted by the afterimage would be hit by both the piercing attack and the final attack, resulting in a total of 2 attacks.
    2. If the targeted enemy was killed by the piercing attack, the arrow would search for a new target based on the logic from the remaster and the arrow’s range would be increased.

    In the March 3 minor update, we changed it so that the piercing attack would not be applied to the targeted enemy, and as a result, the range increase effect that occurred after the February 24 update also disappeared.

    In addition, as a result of closely checking reports from players that Flash Mirage’s performance decreased after the February 3 update, we discovered and improved several additional problems that made Flash Mirage’s effectiveness lower. The details of what was improved are as follows.

    1. The problem where the piercing attack would only hit one monster and where the arrow would not hit multiple enemies properly when they were clustered in a single place.
    2. The problem where the piercing attack’s activation interval was too long so sometimes the arrow would not deal damage even when passing through monsters.
    3. The problem where the piercing attack’s maximum number of hits was 5 but the attack on the final targeted enemy was also included, so the piercing attack would only hit up to 4 enemies.

    To solve the above problems, the piercing attack has been changed so that it can attack up to 5 enemies at the same time, and the interval has been decreased. Also, the error where the attack on the final targeted enemy was included in the piercing attack’s number of hits has been fixed.

    As mentioned earlier, due to the corrections made in the March 3 update, the arrow’s search range may sometimes be slightly lower than the February 24 update, but because of the additional changes above, we expect Flash Mirage’s performance to be greatly increased compared to before so that it will be as good as we intended it to be at the time of the first remaster. We aplogize once again for any inconvenience while playing the game due to these frequent changes, and we ask for your understanding.

    • [​IMG] Cardinal Discharge: The arrows have been improved to prioritize the boss monster with the highest maximum HP.

    • [​IMG][​IMG] Raven Tempest: If you use Raven Tempest while Evolve is active, if Evolve has any duration remaining after Raven Tempest Ends, it will be resummoned for that amount of time. If you use Raven Tempest with the down arrow key while Evolve is active, you can now activate Evolve Tempest, which attacks with a faster whirlwind, dealing 900% damage 6 times on up to 12 enemies for 10 seconds (at level 25). If Evolve has any duration remaining after Evolve Tempest ends, it will be resummoned for that amount of time. The effect output method when hitting monsters has been changed.

    Developer Notes:

    Evolve’s effectiveness was lower for Pathfinder than the other Adventurer archers because of Raven Tempest, which could only be used when Raven was summoned.

    In this update, we added the ability to use Raven Tempest during Evolve as well as a new skill called Evolve Tempest. Evolve Tempest has a shorter duration than Raven Tempest but has a much higher attack speed. Through this reorganization, we expect that Pathfinder will be able to respond for flexibly in various battle situations.

    • [​IMG] Shining Cross – Install: This skill can now also be activated by using Soul Assault or Soul Light Slash with the down arrow key while Soul Rage is active.
    • [​IMG] Sword of Soul Light: A custom command has been added that lets you activate Soul Light Slash using Soul Assault in addition to the attack key. You can right-click the skill to turn the custom command on/off.

    Evan

    • [​IMG] Elemental Blast: The number of hits has been increased from 6 to 8. The damage has been decreased from 1500% to 1300% (at level 25).
    • [​IMG] Dragon Break: The damage has been increased from 900% to 950% (at level 25).
    • [​IMG] Imperial Breath: The damage has been increased from 1050% to 1200% (at level 25).
    • [​IMG] Zodiac Ray: The time when you can charge the Magic Circle with magic and the time when the Constellation’s Power is released have been separated. The time when you can charge the Magic Circle is 12 seconds at all levels, and the time when the Constellation’s Power is released is 11 seconds at level 25. The number of hits has been increased from 6 to 8. The damage has been decreased from 980% to 950% (at level 25). The attack interval when the Constellation’s Power is released has been decreased.

    Luminous

    • [​IMG] Morning Starfall: The final damage boost has been increased from 30% to 36%.

    Demon Avenger

    • [​IMG] Demon Avenger: The intangible swords’ number of hits has been increased from 8 to 14. The intangible swords’ damage has been increased from 1700% to 1850% (at level 25). The rotating intangible swords’ number of hits has been increased from 6 to 8. The rotating intangible swords’ damage has been increased from 600% to 900% (at level 25). The rotating attack cycle has been decreased.
    • [​IMG] Revenant: The thorns of rage’s number of hits has been increased from 9 to 12. The thorns of rage’s damage has been increased from 600% to 900% (at level 25).

    Battlemage

    • [​IMG] Finish Blow: The skill range has been increased by about 93%. The skill effect and sound effect have been changed.
    • [​IMG] Dark Genesis: The final attack effect while on cooldown has been changed to be a passive effect.

    Mechanic

    • [​IMG] Massive Fire: IRON: The armor-piercing shells have been improved to prioritize the boss monster with the highest maximum HP.
    • [​IMG] Over Tuning: The final damage boost has been increased from 25% to 34%.
    • [​IMG] Massive Fire: IRON-B: The exploding armor-piercing shells have been improved to prioritize the boss monster with the highest maximum HP.
    • [​IMG] Robot Mastery: The final damage boost per summoned robot has been decreased from 6% to 5%. A custom command has been added that lets you set the skill effect transparency to apply to the robot skills that are effected by Robot Mastery (except for War Machine: Titan and Mecha Carrier). You can right-click the skill to turn the custom command on/off.

    Xenon

    • [​IMG][​IMG][​IMG] Purge Lob Masquerade: Snipe Mode’s damage has been increased from 345% to 360%. Bombard Mode’s damage has been increased from 344% to 350%. Bombardment Mode’s damage has been increased from 398% to 405%.
    • [​IMG] Mega Smasher: The damage has been increased from 525% to 600% (at level 25).

    Kain

    • [​IMG] Advanced Death Blessing: The additional final damage to Death Blessing/Execute skills during the Merit buff has been increased from 10%p to 18%p.
    • [​IMG] Grip of Agony: The number of hits has been increased from 6 to 8. The damage has been decreased from 1200% to 1000%.

    Angelic Buster

    • [​IMG] Pink Scud: The movement time has been decreased by 14%.

    • [​IMG] Trinity: This skill has been changed from a linking skill to a regular skill. Trinity now deals 630% damage 6 times on up to 3 enemies. The damage and defense ignore buff to Trinity and Trinity Fusion when this skill hits an enemy has been increased from 10% to 15% and the maximum number of stacks has been decreased from 3 to 2. The skill effect and sound effect have been changed. The chance that the skill voice is played has been decreased.
    • [​IMG] Finitura Fettuccia: The action delay has been decreased by about 36%.
    • [​IMG] Trinity – Split Attack has been changed to Trinity – Bonus Attack: Trinity’s number of hits is increased by 1.
    • [​IMG] Spotlight: The skill has been improved where the lighting area is increased and the range where the character is considered to be in the lighting is increased so that it can have as similar an effect as possible regardless of the game resolution. The issue where the lighting would be considered as overlapping late even if the character was within the area has been alleviated.
    • [​IMG] Mascot Familiar: The time to automatically acquire a Magical Bubble has been decreased from 8 seconds to 3 seconds. The issue where there was a delay in acquiring Magical Bubbles based on network conditions has been alleviated.

    Developer Notes:

    We wanted to improve the parts of Angelic Buster where certain skills were affected by factors outside of combat. First, we improved Spotlight which had different effectiveness based on the game resolution. The range where each light recognizes the character has been greatly increased, and the light’s area has also been increased, which will alleviate the difference in effectiveness of the skill based on the resolution. Mascot Familiar’s problem where acquiring Magical Bubbles was based on network status has also been alleviated.

    In addition, because of the repeated adjustments to Trinity, we decided that the linking experience was meaningless, so we changed it to a regular single use skill and slightly reduced the difficulty of stacking the buff. We have also lowered Mascot Familiar’s difficulty of acquiring Magical Bubbles regardless of recharging so that it does not become an overly stressful factor to maximize its effectiveness.

    Zero

    • [​IMG] Burst Step: This skill has been improved so that it no longer activates Special Cores.
    • [​IMG] Power Stomp: The attack range has been increased by about 6%.
    • [​IMG] Advanced Power Stomp: The attack range has been increased by about 6%. The creation location of the shockwave has been adjusted to be closer to the character.
    • [​IMG] Jumping Crash: The shockwave’s attack range has been increased by about 20%.
    • [​IMG] Earth Break: The activated shockwave’s attack range has been increased by about 50%.
    • [​IMG] Advanced Earth Break: The activated shockwave’s attack range has been increased by about 50%.

    Kinesis

    • [​IMG][​IMG] Psychic Shield: This skill has been changed to a passive skill. Psychic Shield 2’s effects have also been changed to passive effects.

    • [​IMG] Craft: Javelin II: The damage boost to Craft: Javelin has been increased from 75%p to 95%p. The damage boost to Glory Wings: Javelin has been increased from 165%p to 200%p.
    • [​IMG] Craft: Orb II: The skill description has been changed to be more accurate. The damage boost to Craft: Orb has been increased from 250%p to 260%p.
    • [​IMG] Glory Wings: Mortal Wingbeat: The damage boost to Reaction: Destruction II and Reaction: Domination II has been increased from 100%p to 135%p.
    • [​IMG] Crystal Ignition: The number of hits has been increased from 4 to 5. The damage has been decreased from 1500% to 1400% (at level 25).
    • [​IMG] Reaction: Spectrum: The number of hits has been increased from 5 to 6. The damage has been decreased from 2000% to 1900%.
    • [​IMG] Gram Holder: If there is a boss monster within attack range, this skill will prepare an attack in the direction of the boss monster with the highest maximum HP. If there are no boss monsters within attack range, this skill will prepare an attack in multiple directions. If both the left and right attack ranges have the same priority, the attack will be prepared in the direction where Illium is.

    Ark

    • [​IMG] Endless Agony: The Abyssal Guard attack activated at the end of the skill’s action delay has been decreased by about 36%.
    • [​IMG] Abyssal Recall: A feature has been added where you can use the skill again while casting it to instantly end the attack and activate the final attack.

    Developer Notes:

    Some of the skills used in the combat phase are maintained in the reward phase and there were cases where the reward monsters were defeated unintentionally. To prevent this, the number of hits required to defeat the monsters summoned in the existing reward phases has been adjusted from 36 to 100, and the number of hits required for the newly added reward phase monsters has also been set to 100.

    Various improvements have been made to Arkarium (Easy/Normal/Story).

    • When the screen crack is activated, Rhinne’s protection will create a special area where time is distorted. If you are within the area, the screen crack’s damage will be decreased.
    • The screen crack casting frequency has been improved.
    • Rhinne’s dialogue will no longer be outputted after defeating Arkarium.

    • Pink Bean’s toy car casting frequency and the Reverse Keys status duration have been decreased.

    The Maple Union Coin Shop NPC Mr. Poncho has been added to the Quick Move menu and Big Headward/Plastic Roy have been removed.

    It has been improved so that you can use the Union attacker placement feature in Meisterville, Mu Lung Dojo Entrance, Mu Lung Dojo Training Back Street, Mu Lung Dojo Waiting Room, and the Monster Park Entrance maps.

    When registering a farm profile image, if the image is not 100×100, it will now be resized automatically.

    In the Maple Auction, if you check the Remember Search Filters option, the minimum values you entered will now also be saved.

    In the Maple Auction, the item names have been changed from bold text to plain text.

    In the Maple Auction, the item name font displayed in the item purchase confirmation window has been changed to the Morris font.

    When applying Link Skill presets, if you already have the same type of Link Skill active as one of the ones in the preset but it is lower level, your existing skill will be removed and the higher level skill will be transferred.

    In the equipment window, the Slot+ button in the bottom right of the equipment, Cash, pet, and A.D tabs has been removed. When you clicked this button, you would immediately be taken to the Cash Shop > Slot Expansion items list and could only be used below level 200 in the equipment window’s equipment tab. After level 200, other feature buttons were displayed and the usability decreased so we removed it. The equipment tab’s instructions displayed when hovering over the pendant slot will remain the same.

    Fixed an issue where certain item links did not work properly in the chat window.

    Maps


    The Gold Beach/Strange Sea map has been improved so that the cutscene image displayed when entering is displayed more naturally.

    The Pantheon/Great Temple Interior map has been improved so that the distant objects are displayed more naturally as the user moves.

    The Traces of the Goddess party quest’s ‘Goddess’ Tower <Lounge>’ has been changed so that the Goddess’ LPs that are dropped will no longer disappear from the map.

    Before entering the Flame Wolf’s Den, there will now be a message in the chat window that displays your remaining number of entries for the day.

    After entering the Flame Wolf’s Den, the system message has been changed to display your remaining number of entries for the day.

    When entering Bounty Hunter portals, it has been changed so that the message of your remaining number of entries for the day are displayed starting from your first entry instead of only when the number of remaining entries for the day is 5 or less.

    Limen area towns have been improved so that you can use the general shop and storage through NPCs.

    Fixed an issue in Limen area towns where certain NPCs were displayed in front of the character.

    Error Fixes

    Skills


    Fixed an issue where if you died immediately after Flow of Battle activated, sometimes it would not activate after you resurrected.

    Certain key-down skills have been changed so that they will end if you open the disassemble or combination UI while using them.

    Fixed an issue with skills with certain commands could not be used with the command if you changed key settings with the shortcut key.

    Fixed an issue where changing skill effect transparency would not apply immediately to summons.

    If you changed maps while using Unstable Memorize which caused the skill activation to fail, Unstable Memorize’s cooldown will now be reset.

    Paladin

    • Fixed an issue where if you used Guardian Spirit while moving, the character would stop moving.
    • Holy Unity’s skill description has been changed to be more accurate.

    Bishop

    • Bishop’s Big Bang Enhancement V Core’s skill icon has been changed.

    Marksman

    • Fixed an issue where if you had the Inner Ability line of + passive skill levels, Advanced Enhanced Arrow would not display the Enhanced Piercing II/Enhanced Sniping’s skill descriptions in the quick slot.

    Pathfinder

    • Fixed an issue where Raven Tempest’s duration in the skill description was shorter than the actual duration (27 seconds).

    Night Lord

    • Fixed an issue where the shuriken created by Showdown Challenge would track enemies that could not be attacked.

    Shadower

    • Alleviated the issue where the coins from Pickpocket and Bloody Pocket would be dropped in an awkward location when fighting Pink Bean and Lucid.
    • When entering a map, if Pickpocket is applied, all coins dropped by that character’s Bloody Pocket will now be removed (and vice versa).
    • Fixed an issue where if you died while there were coins dropped by Pickpocket and Bloody Pocket then resurrected and activated Pickpocket or Bloodypocket again, the already dropped coins could not be used with Meso Explosion.

    Dual Blade

    • Fixed an issue where Dual Blade Mastery’s skill description included the removed skill Dual Blade Booster.
    • Fixed an issue where you could cancel Blade Ascension if you used it after trying to use Flying Assaulter at a height where it could not be used.

    Cannon Shooter

    • Fixed an issue where if you used Gigantic Backstep, an awkward effect would be displayed to other characters.

    Striker

    • Fixed an issue where if Striker exited the client during Lightning God Chain Strike then reconnected and used it again, the linked attack could only be used up to the remaining number of times from before exiting the client.

    Aran

    • [​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG] Swing Studies I, Swing Studies II, Dynamic Mastery I, and Dynamic Mastery II’s skill icons have been changed to match the skill names.
    • Fixed an issue where Monster Life’s final attack skills’ damage boost effect did not apply to Swing Studies I and Swing Studies II.

    Evan

    • Fixed an issue where if Circle of Mana was used while the Star’s Herald was equipped, sometimes the effect would be output awkwardly.
    • The Partners skill description has been changed to more accurately display the activation conditions.

    Mercedes

    • Fixed an issue where if Mercedes rushed up a platform while riding Sylphidia, Spirit Escape could not be linked.

    Wild Hunter

    • Fixed an issue where sometimes the connection would exit if Jaguar Riding was removed while in Weakness status.
    • Fixed an issue with Assistant Hunting Unit where after attacking, party members’ sound effects would not be output when it was reloading, attacking after reloading, and disappearing.

    Mechanic

    • Fixed an issue with Robot Factory: RM1 where if the summoned toy robots’ duration ended and they self-destructed, it would considder the character to be attacking.

    Angelic Buster
