    Yesterday, the MapleStory Ignition Showcase took place where they talked about the stuff coming this summer! Afterwards, the test world was opened with the initial changes of the Cygnus Remaster.

    For the skill changes, the patch notes were a little vague this time around for some reason and I was also pretty busy this weekend so I’m just going to translate them as they were given and only give additional detail for the newly added skills. The patch notes also were missing some of the skills that were updated so I added those in where I noticed them. Some of the skill changes were actually quite extensive but I didn’t have a chance to fully cover them, so I’m thinking I will continue to just translate the patch notes like this and then when the changes are pushed to the official server, I’ll do a full skill translation just like I did with the Adventurer Remaster to make it easier to understand.

    Cygnus Remaster



    • Soul Master
      • The core identity was to go beyond the sun and moon, into space.
      • Solar Slash and Lunar Divide have become the main attacking skills. The forced up/down movement has been removed.
      • The Cosmic Orb system has been added, which activates when you alternate between stances.
      • Celestial Dance has been replaced by a new skill called Cosmos.
      • Elysion has been changed to give the maximum number of Cosmic Orbs when used.
      • Cross the Styx has been changed to charge Cosmic Orbs. It has been removed as a Hyper Skill, but can still be used through Elysion.
      • A new Hyper Skill has been added that lets you rush through enemies up to two times while being invincible.
    • Flame Wizard
      • The core identity was fireballs, the lion, and the fox.
      • Orbital Flame has been improved to be bigger.
      • Spirit of Flame related skills have been improved so that Lion mode is better for hunting while Fox mode is better for bossing. This will also change Orbital Flame accordingly.
      • Dragon Slave has been replaced by a new skill called Phoenix Drive, which shoots enhanced Orbital Flames.
      • Ignition related skills have been improved.
      • Maelstrom has been changed to be a bind skill.
      • Flame Barrier has been improved to defend against critical status effects.
    • Wind Breaker
      • The core identity was covering your surroundings with Whims, together with wind.
      • Fairy Turn has been changed to a 4th job skill with increased range and improved effects.
      • Dance of Frozen Wind has been changed from a keydown skill to an instant use skill.
      • A new Hyper Skill called Storm Whim has been added which creates additional arrows for a certain period of time. Storm Bringer has been moved to 4th job.
      • Howling Gale can now hold up to 3 Wind Energies, and you will summon 2 large Howling Gales if you use 3 at once.
      • Trifling Whim and Pinpoint Pierce have been improved to prioritize boss monsters.
      • Second Wind’s activation conditions have been changed to activate when you attack instead of being hit.
      • Wind Wall’s remaining energy will now be displayed in the quick slot.
    • Night Walker
      • The core identity was constantly flying stars and bats.
      • The Shadow Bats system has been improved for better hunting and explosions when they hit a monster.
      • A new skill called Ravenous Bat has been added which can be turned on/off. When toggled on, the bats will prioritize boss monsters with increased attack and HP leech but they will no longer bounce.
      • Dominion will increase the number of bats that can be created.
      • A new skill called Shadow Momentum has been added which lets you cancel attacking skills’ delays through movement. You can still jump attack to cancel delays but it is not as required as before.
      • Attack delays from the shadow skills like Shadow Servant and Shadow Illusion have been improved to make it easier to hit bosses.
      • Shadow Stitch has been improved to bind with a fixed range without having to hold the key down.
      • Siphon Vitality has been improved to give a shield based on your HP.
      • You can now summon Shadow Servant Extend’s shadows to your location.
    • Striker
      • The core identity was to link attacks that were smooth like waves and crash down like lightning.
      • The Lightning buff system has been improved. You will gain stacks when you link attacks. The buff itself has also been improved. Major skills’ damage will be improved at max stacks.
      • A new skill called Sea Wave has been added, which automatically summons an orb when linking attacks.
      • The feedback for linking attacks has been improved.
      • Thunder God Spear Strike can now be activated manually for better hunting and can be linked with other skills.
      • Typhoon and Gale’s ranges have been increased.
      • Primal Bolt has been changed to enhance the Lightning buff and reduce the cooldown of main skills.
      • Lightning Spear Multi Strike will now be saved by Buff Freezers.
      • Knuckle Booster has been changed to a passive.
      • The link cancel timing has been adjusted.
    • Mikhail
      • The core identity was the shield of light and the guardian that punishes the wicked.
      • A new skill called Install Shield has been added to improve hunting.
      • Claiomh Solais has been improved so that the shockwaves are created starting from the 1st and 2nd stages, and it will no longer interfere with Royal Guard.
      • Rho Aias has been improved so that the final damage boost is applied as soon as you use the skill. It will now defend against status effects as well and the number of defenses has been increased.
      • Soul Link has been changed from taking damage for your party members to giving a shield to all party members. The damage boost has been changed to apply only if you have party members in the same map.
      • Refreshing debuffs has been improved. All job advancements’ main attacking skills will now apply the Blind debuff. Soul Rage will have a 100% chance to apply Blind. The halved duration on bosses has been removed.
      • A new skill called Offensive Defense has been added which applies a debuff on mobs hit by Royal Guard, and the debuff can be procced to activate an additional hit.
      • A new skill called Soul Majesty has been added which lets Install Shield apply Offensive Defense’s effect.
      • Soul Rage related skills have been improved. Soul Assault has been changed to a 2nd job skill which is enhanced over time.
    • Story Improvements
      • There are no major problems with the existing story, so they will try to reinforce the relationships between characters while maintaining the existing storyline and supplementing threads to other stories.
      • In Mikhail’s story, they will improve the stories of the Chief Knights’ pasts and show off their personalities more. Characters that previously were only mentioned in dialogue will also be added.
    • Cygnus Remaster Event
      • Cygnus characters will receive Arcane Symbols, a Unique emblem, Core Gemstones, and new outfits.
    Extreme

    • Extreme Mode Bosses
      • Extreme Mode Black Mage and Chosen Seren will be added. This is content for end-game users.
      • Normal Jin Hilla and Normal Chosen Seren’s difficulties will be lowered.
    • Monster Park Extreme
      • Morass, Esfera, Sellas, and Moonbridge areas will be added all at once.
      • Monster Park Extreme will be added which is party content for characters level 260 and higher. You will receive a large amount of experience once per day.
    • Extreme Fields
      • Sudden Missions will be removed.
      • Runes will be reorganized (Rune of Swiftness removed, Rune of Purification and Ignition improved).
      • Bounty Hunter portals will give greatly increased experience every 4 portals.
      • Flame Wolf will be separated into three sections based on level.
      • Grandis area Elite Bosses will be added. They will have lower HP than existing Elite Bosses and summon additional monsters when they appear. There will be no alert when they spawn.
    Opened Eyes Laboratory, Odium

    • A new area for level 275 and higher with new hunting maps.
    • A new Authentic Symbol will be added.
    • Characters like Senya, Hoyoung’s master, and Karing will appear.
    Spring Spring Project

    • Tenebris and Grandis daily quests will give experience rewards.
    • 600 chairs will be changed so that they can be put into storage.
    • Mix Dye and Lens Coupons will be improved so that they can be used on Androids.
    • Flag Race hurdles will be alleviated. You will only need to kill 1000 monsters within your level range to enter, and you can now enter at any time.
    • A boss bind effect display feature will be added.
    • When registering items in the Maple Auction, it will now show the current lowest price and 7 day average price. You can now see recent search terms.
    • When you skip the Adventurer tutorial, you will now be level 10 immediately. The second job advancement will now display the 4th job advancement names to avoid mistakes.
    • An automatic sort system has been added for the character selection window.
    • The hurdle of opening the Pocket slot will be alleviated.
    • The Guild Buff weather effect message has been improved.
    • The different types of Experience Coupons will be displayed more clearly.
    • Time-limited equipment will be displayed more accurately.
    Ignition Fireworks Festival



    • Daily/weekly/monthly missions for coins.
    • Additional rewards every 7 days of coin capping. You can buy the Ignition Pass for 39,800 Maple Points to double the rewards.
    • A coin shop/boss coin shop/meso shop. The cost of Authentic Symbols will be decreased to 150 coins.
    • Spiegelmann’s Arcade Festival is an experience event with games like Puzzle Master, Star Bridge, and new ones like finding the differences between pictures.
    • Spiegella’s Extreme Sports will include Judges of the Sky and Fight! Return of the Legends.
    • Special Sunday Maple event.

    • NEW! [​IMG] Cosmic Burst: [Cosmic] Release the Cosmic Orbs to attack. When used, all Cosmic Orbs will be consumed and based on the number of consumed Orbs, the cooldown will be decreased. The released Cosmic Orbs will prioritize tracking the boss monster with the highest maximum HP. If Cosmic Burst hits an enemy using Damage Reflect, you will not take damage. Cosmic Burst is not affected by cooldown reduction and cooldown reset effects.
      Required Skill: Level 10 Element: Soul. (Max Level: 30)
      • Level 30: Consumes 50 MP and all Cosmic Orbs to release the Cosmic Orbs.
        The released Cosmic Orbs will each track 1 enemy, dealing 400% damage 4 times.
        If multiple Cosmic Orbs hit a single enemy, the second and later Orbs will have 30% decreased final damage.
        For every 1 consumed Cosmic Orb, cooldown will be decreased by 1 second.
        Cooldown: 15 seconds.

      Required Skill: Level 10 Soul Blessing II. (Max Level: 10)
      • Level 10: Element Soul’s Cosmic Orb creation rate is increased by 20%, the maximum number of stacks is increased by 1.
        When a Cosmic Orb is created, additionally increase your final damage by 10%.

    • NEW! [​IMG] Cosmic Shower – Persist: Cosmic Shower’s duration is increased by 5 seconds. (Required Level: 180)
    • NEW! [​IMG] Divide and Slash – Reinforce: Solar Slash and Lunar Divide’s damage is increased by 20%. (Required Level: 150)
