    A new test world patch was released as scheduled, with some more changes to the Cygnus remaster skills, as well as the updated story. The patch also includes more QoL improvements and the events we will be getting (which will be covered next week).

    Shortly afterwards, the director Won-ki did a live video on YouTube addressing some of the main complaints people had with this patch, such as the new Hyper Burning event’s rewards being lackluster and the new Cygnus voices being too meme-y and bad.

    Developer Notes:

    In this update, we made structural and effect improvements after reviewing the feedback that we received as well as numerical adjustments based on play records from the official server and the test world.

    In terms of the numerical adjustments, since they bring a big change in the playing experience, we will continue to review and make changes to the Cygnus Knights and Mikhail’s changed skill structures/values to ensure they are appropriate in the following June 30 official server update and subsequent updates.

    In addition, for jobs other than the remastered Cygnus Knights and MIkhail, we are currently compiling structural improvements for skills, including numerical buffs/nerfs, and are reviewing them for implementation.

    Character performance has changed much more rapidly than we expected during the first half of the year, after several consecutive skill improvements (including the Adventurer remaster).

    This was because there weren’t any skill-related improvements made for a long time and then many skills were changed all at once (including the Adventurer remaster) which affected many variables that we didn’t expect.

    Skill performance changes are a factor that greatly affect players’ gameplay. Therefore, we would like to approach them more cautiously. Even if it’s a little late, we thought that it would be a more satisfactory experience for players if we reviewed the data after the Cygnus Knights and Mikhail remaster changes are implemented in the official server and then adjusted all jobs’ skills afterwards.

    The overall jobs’ skill improvements are planned to be added to the test world on August 18. We apologize for not being able to release this update as quickly as players would have liked. We will repay the love that players have given us in future updates with more accurate improvements. Thank you.

The enhanced Solar Slash’s damage has been increased from 195% to 225%, the number of hits has been increased from 4 to 5. The enhanced Lunar Divide’s monster hit effect has been changed. The enhanced Lunar Divide’s damage has been decreased from 260% to 180%, the number of hits has been increased from 3 to 5.
    • [​IMG] Cosmic Shower: You can now use this skill with no cast action while using Solar Slash, Lunar Divide, and Cross the Styx. The meteor shower’s damage has been increased from 140% to 210%. The meteor shower will now deal 50% increased damage to regular monsters. The meteor shower’s duration has been increased from 20 seconds to 45 seconds. The duration boost per consumed Cosmic Orb has been increased from 2 seconds to 3 seconds. Fixed an issue where the meteor shower could look awkward to other characters. The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.
    • [​IMG][​IMG] Loud Rush/Silent Move: Fixed an issue where if you used these skills continuously, the minimum applied cooldown would be increased. The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.

    Developer Notes:

    We have increased Cosmic Shower’s base damage and gave it increased damage when attacking normal monsters so that it could fulfill its intended role as a secondary attack while hunting.

    In addition, we have increased the skill’s duration so that Soul Master’s combat complexity is not increased excessively when compared to the number of skills they needed to use before the remaster. We have improved it so that it is more convenient to use by letting players use it without a cast action while using certain skills.

The enhanced Solar Slash’s damage has been increased from 430% to 485%, the number of hits has been increased from 5 to 6, the number of enemies hit has been increased from 6 to 7. The enhanced Lunar Divide’s damage has been increased from 430% to 485%, the number of hits has been increased from 5 to 6, the number of enemies hit has been increased from 6 to 7.
    • [​IMG] Cosmic Burst: The monster hit effect has been changed. You can now use this skill with no cast action while using Solar Slash, Lunar Divide, and Cross the Styx. An Auto-Use Mode has been added, where if you have the maximum number of Cosmic Orbs and the skill is not on cooldown, Cosmic Burst will automatically be used when Solar Slash, Lunar Divide, or Cross the Styx hits an enemy. The enemy search range has been increased by 25% and has been moved slightly upwards. If there are multiple boss monsters with the same maximum HP within search range, the skill will attack the nearest boss monster. This skill now increases Cosmic Shower’s damage by 60%p. The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.
    • [​IMG] Solunar Slash: Fixed an issue where the skill level was displayed awkwardly when Combat Orders was applied.

    Hyper Skills

    • [​IMG] Cosmic Shower – Persist: The duration boost has been increased from 5 seconds to 10 seconds.
    • [​IMG] Divide and Slash – Bonus Attack has been changed to [​IMG] Divide and Slash – Ignore Guard: Solar Slash and Lunar Divide’s defense ignored is increased by 20%.

    Developer Notes:

    In the June 11 test world update, we removed the existing Hyper passive skill Speeding Dance – Ignore Guard. As a result, there were inevitably situations where players would have had to change their character’s stats, so we have returned the defense ignored stat. The newly added Bonus Attack’s increased number of hits effect has been applied by default to Solar Slash and Lunar Divide.
    • [​IMG] Cosmic Forge: This skill will no longer consume Cosmic Orbs when used. This skill will now create as much as the maximum amount of Cosmic Orbs you can hold when used. The duration has been increased from 40 seconds to 60 seconds. The increased duration per consumed Cosmic Orb has been removed.

    Developer Notes:

    Cosmic Forge was intended to be a synergistic skill that greatly increased the effects of other Cosmic skills, but it could only achieve its maximum effect if it was used with a large number of Cosmic Orbs. Since it consumed Cosmic Orbs, it was rather difficult to use and it was also difficult to experience its effects of improving other Cosmic Skills immediately after using it.

    In this update, we have improved Cosmic Forge so that it has a certain efficiency in every situation without any special conditions, and we have removed the Cosmic Orb consumption when used so that it can work as intended.
    • [​IMG][​IMG] Blazing Assault/Luster Charge: The action delay has been decreased by about 30%. The invincibility duration has been increased from 1.5 seconds to 1.8 seconds. If you die while being able to link the two skills, the link will now be cancelled. Fixed an issue where the cooldown alarm was not displayed. Fixed an issue where if it hit an enemy using Damage Reflect, you would take damage. The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.

    5th Job

    • [​IMG] Elysion: Cross the Styx now has an additional 20% defense ignored. Cross the Styx’s monster hit effect has been changed. This skill has been improved so that you can hit monsters that can only be hit by basic attacks with Cross the Styx. This skill has been improved so that when you use it, Element: Soul’s stat enhancement effects are also applied.
    • [​IMG] Soul Eclipse: Fixed an issue where if the character moved while using the skill, a teleport effect was visible.

    • [​IMG] Cosmos: The skill effect and monster hit effect have been changed. The damage has been increased from 450% to 900%, the number of hits has been decreased from 7 to 5 (at level 25). Fixed an issue where the effect was continuously displayed while dead. The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.

    Developer Notes:

    Since Flame Wizard has a rapid-fire main attack that is used repeatedly at high speeds, it was difficult to use Overload Mana when fighting bosses. Since Overload Mana consumes a certain percentange of MP, we decided that it would be difficult to solve this problem just by reducing skills’ MP costs, so instead, we have added the ability to absorb MP from enemies with a certain rate when attacking to Burn and Rest.

    Developer Notes:

    In the June 11 test world update, Born Phoenix was changed to an on/off skill to improve convenience. However, because of this change, it was detrimental to existing play patterns and so we have changed it back to a normal buff skill.

    • [​IMG][​IMG] Orbital Flame IV: The skill effect and monster hit effects have been changed. The skill description has been changed to be more accurate. Fixed an issue where Fox Mode Orbital Flame’s number of hits varied based on the size of the monster. Fixed an issue where Fox Mode orbital Flame did not actually consume MP. Fox Mode Orbital Flame’s elemental resistance reduction debuff will now be applied when it hits an enemy 1 time. The Fox’s Mischief debuff effect has been changed to be more natural. Fixed an issue where sometimes it fired awkwardly when used upwards. Fixed an issue where the tooltip looked awkward when you had the ‘Passive skill levels +1’ Ability.

    Developer Notes:

    Since Ignition was removed in the June 11 test world update, the elemental resistance reduction debuff was moved to Fox Mode Orbital Flame.

    However, since there was a new condition of hitting an enemy 10 times, there was an issue where the debuff could not be applied instantly like before.

    In this update, we have changed it so that the elemental resistance reduction debuff is applied immediately after Fox Mode Orbital Flame hits an enemy 1 time.

    • [​IMG][​IMG] Inferno Rise: You can now use this skill with the down arrow key to activate the not-summoned incarnation’s attack. This skill now requires level 1 Spirit of Flame. Fox Mode Inferno Rise’s additional attack when hitting an enemy with the max stacks of Fox’s Mischief’s damage has been increased from 1400% to 1800%. The skill effect has been changed. The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.

Fixed an issue where the cooldown required to charge would be reset after consuming 2 or more Wind Energy at once. Fixed an issue where the movement speed seemed to slow down to other characters even when the Slow Mode was off. Fixed an issue where sometimes the skill would fall off the map. The skill effect of the second large tornado when consuming 3 Wind Energy has been changed.

    Developer Notes:

    We changed Howling Gale to be able to stack up to 3 Wind Energy to create synergy with multiple other skills where you could use them all to summon two large tornadoes at once.

    However, due to this change, it was no longer possible to summon the desired tornado when you had the maximum amount of Wind Energy.

    In this update, we changed the command of the skill so that Wind Breaker players can use Howling Gale more fluidly by summoning whichever tornado they want.
    • [​IMG] Vortex Sphere: Vortex Sphere’s creation location has been changed. Fixed an issue where the movement speed did not appear to be slowed when another character cast the skill. The skill has been changed so that you are only put in-combat when you cast the skill.

    • [​IMG] Shadow Bats: Fixed an awkward issue when the Shadow Bats switched to attack mode. The Shadow Bats’ enemy search range for the first attack has been increased. The Shadow Bats’ first and second attacks’ search methods have been improved. Fixed an issue where the increased damage to regular monsters effect did not apply to the Enhanced Shadow Bats’ explosion attacks after learning Bat Communion II. Fixed an issue where the buff’s location would change after creating Enhanced Shadow Bats. The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.

    Developer Notes:

    As a result of reviewing Shadow Bats’ attack target search logic, we have confirmed that the target search was a narrower range than intended when searching for the first and second targets, and so we have improved it.

    This improvement applies equally to Enhanced Shadow Bats, Ravenous Bats, and Enhanced Ravenous Bats.

    3rd Job

    • [​IMG] Quadruple Throw: This skill now increases Stardust’s damage by 100%p. The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.
    • [​IMG] Darkness Ascension: Fixed an issue where the cooldown was increased.
    • [​IMG] Shadow Momentum: The duration has been increased from 15 seconds to 20 seconds. This skill is now affected by Buff Freezers. You can now cancel the buff by right-clicking it.
    • [​IMG] Bat Communion II: Fixed an awkward issue when the Enhanced Shadow Bats switched to attack mode. The Enhanced Shadow Bats’ enemy search range for the first attack has been increased. The Enhanced Shadow Bats’ first and second attacks’ search methods have been improved.

Fixed an awkward issue when the Enhanced Ravenous Bats switched to attack mode. The Enhanced Ravenous Bats’ enemy search range has been increased.

    Developer Notes:

    Ravenous Bats is a skill that is intended to provide more power when fighting bosses in exchange for removing Shadow Bats’ bouncing effect.

    However, in the June 11 test world update, there was an issue where the search range for the boss monster with the highest maximum HP was shorter than Quintuple throw’s increased range which caused an error where sometimes they would not track the enemy even if they were within search range.

    In this update, we have corrected this issue, and tried to achieve the skill’s intended performance when bossing by further improving it.
    • [​IMG] Siphon Vitality: Fixed an issue where the skill effect was awkward when crouching.

    Hyper Skills

    • [​IMG] Siphon Vitality – Extra Points: The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.
    • [​IMG] Dominion: The boost to the maximum number of Shadow Bats and Ravenous Bats has been increased from 2 to 3.

    5th Job

    • [​IMG] Shadow Spear: The Shadow Spear’s damage has been increased from 200% to 400%. The number of hits has been decreased from 4 to 2.

    Developer Notes:

    Sometimes, when Shadow Spear’s number of hits is too high, it causes a stuttering issue. In this update, we have kept the total damage but adjusted the number of hits to help alleviate this stutter.
    • [​IMG] Shadow Servant Extend: The re-summon cooldown has been decreased from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds. The ability to use the skill again to swap places with the shadow has been changed so that it can be used up to 3 times regardless of the re-summon cooldown. The shadow has been improved so that it prioritizes facing the boss monster with the highest maximum HP, the target search range has been increased. Fixed an issue where the attack range was awkward when the shadow used Lucky Seven. Fixed an issue where the use direction was awkward when the shadow used Stardust.
    • [​IMG] Rapid Throw: The continuous attack’s damage boost when used during Shadow Spear has been increased from 200%p to 265%p. Fixed an issue where Shadow Servant, Shadow Illusion, and Shadow Servant Extend’s continuous attack was displayed awkwardly to other characters.

    Developer Notes:

    In the June 11 test world update, we made it so that Rapid Throw’s continuous throwing attack dealt more damage instead of creating Shadow Spears. However, in the process of moving this damage, we confirmed that some damage was lost and therefore made an additional correction.

    1st Job

    • [​IMG] Flash: Fixed an issue where the attack action would happen even if Flash did not hit a monster. You can no longer cancel the cast action using Tidal Crash in the air.
    • [​IMG] Element: Lightning: The skill has been changed so that you acquire Lightning Buffs when you link skills or when your attacks hit an enemy. When linking skills, you will acquire more Lightning Buffs than when your attacks hit an enemy. The maximum number of Lightning Buff stacks has been increased to 2. The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.

    Developer Notes:

    In this remaster, to enhance the feedback when linking skills, the condition to acquire the Lightning Buff was changed from when your attacks hit an enemy to when you link skills.

    Due to this change, it was not possible to acquire Lightning Buffs in combat situations like before, so in this update, in addition to linking skills, it has been changed so that you acquire Lightning Buff stacks even when your attacks hit an enemy just like before.
    • [​IMG] Electrified: The Lightning Buff maximum stack boost has been removed.

    2nd Job

    • [​IMG] Tidal Crash: Tidal Crash will no longer activate the Lightning buff. The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.
    • [​IMG] Sea Wave: Fixed an issue where the cooldown was applied incorrectly. Cooldown reduction effects will no longer apply to this skill. The cooldown will now be displayed as a buff icon. The MP consumed has been decreased from 120 MP to 50 MP. The distance moved has been increased by about 20%.

    In the Maple Auction, improved the issue where certain items could not be found when the keywords included the gender.

    To prevent mistakes related to changing guild member positions, the locations of passing guild leader and kicking guild members in the right-click menu have been changed.

    When you reach level 30 Charm, the ‘Gift for a Charming Person’ quest will now be completed automatically, allowing you to use your Pocket slot.

    • The Rose item required to complete the quest will no longer appear.
    • Any quests already in progress will be completed automatically.

    The skill tab will now display buttons for all job advancements regardless of your level. If you hover over the tabs for a job advancement that you cannot use yet, it will display the conditions required.

    When an Adventurer job advances to 2nd job, they will now be provided with a weapon that matches their job. The job selection will now display the final job advancement name as well.

    The Adventurer tutorial story skip has been improved to make the character level 10 after using it.

    When using shops, weapon images will no longer cover the Category UI.

    In the Applied Link Skill Presets UI, when skills have the same transfer limits, they will now be sorted in order of skill name, and if the skill names are the same, they will be sorted in order of character names.

    In regular maps, if there are too many buff icons displayed on a single line, they will now be displayed on multiple lines.

    Fixed an issue where there was a stutter when dsplaying the tooltip information for items inside recipe bags.

    In the Soul Collector UI, Hilla’s hidden illustration has been changed.

    In Monster Life, the Combination UI image has been changed.

    In the Cash Shop, if there are no Royal Style or Wonder Berry items for sale, the tab will now display a guide text image.

    Game Graphics


    Depending on the settings in the Game options – Graphics tab – Quality – Effect Adjustment, you can set different shader effect quality for the following items. If there are any performance problems related to this content, you can enjoy smoother gameplay by adjusting this option.

    • Nightmare Pearl: As the quality is adjusted from Best to Normal (low spec), the effect’s quality is also adjusted.
    • Ignition Fireworks Festival Map: As the quality is adjusted from Best to Normal (low spec), the fireworks and stage reflections displayed in the background will also be adjusted.

    In the Android shop, Sprout Potions, single Bow/Crossbow Arrows, and Appearance Return Coupons have been added.

    When entering Monster Life in private login or offline mode, it has been changed to display that you are offline even in the farm. However, certain chats like the 1:1 conversations will be restricted when your farm is offline.

    Fixed an error in Reboot World where using the Dominator Box sometimes showed the world name incorrectly.

    Fixed an issue with Phantom’s Talent of Phantom Thief – Persist where the buff duration boost effect did not apply to Phantom’s stolen buff skills but only to the buffs received by other party members from Phantom.

    Fixed an issue where if Luminous entered Equilibrium mode while using Liberation Orb, the changed appearance would not be applied.

    You can no longer reset Hyper Skills while Demon Slayer’s Blue Blood is activated.

    Fixed an issue where Lie Detectors could not be used on Demon Avengers defeating monsters with Demon Frenzy.

    Fixed an issue with Battle Mage’s Death skill where if you entered certain cutscenes with it active, the gauge UI would not be created after exiting the cutscene.

    Fixed an issue with Zero where immediately after using a skill accompanied with a teleport, they could tag to the other Zero and use Joint Attack to be able to move while using Joint Attack.

    Fixed an issue with Zero where if using Joint Attack without holding the key down, sometimes the link attack would be activated instead of the combined attack.

    Fixed an issue where sometimes other Hoyoung characters’ installed Distortion Gates would be clearly visible even if other c haracters’ skill effect transparency was lowered.

    Fixed an error in specific scenes during the Black Heaven quests where the user was not visible.

    Fixed an issue where the ‘Contract with Mastema’ quest could not be completed.

    Fixed an error where after accepting the ‘[Alliance] Awakened Heroes’ quest, you could teleport to the quest map even in teleport restricted maps.

    Fixed an error where characters with the Ellin Forest’s Guardian medal equipped could not complete the ‘[Ellin Forest] History Doesn’t Change’ quest.

    The interval between the timer start time and the monster summoning time has been changed to be less affected by the PC environment.

    Fixed an issue where certain monsters’ time when they first activated patterns was faster than usual.

    Fixed an issue where monsters sometimes didn’t use any patterns.

    Fixed an issue where Awakened Mu Gong and Awakened Mu Gong’s Disciples’ sound effects were not heard.

    Fixed an issue where if a character died then reconnected while reviving, Experience Accumulation Potions and Small Experience Accumulation Potions’ effects would disappear.

    Fixed an issue where the Small Experience Accumulation Potion’s effects disappeared when the character died.

    Fixed an issue where if Mechanic changed the colour of their Metal Armor then used the Afterimage cash item, the changed colour would only apply to the afterimage.

    Fixed an issue where the Scouter skill’s displayed damage range calculation method was different than the actually applied damage range calculation method.

    Monsters


    Fixed an issue in Bloody Queen (Normal/Chaos) where if Kaiser in Final Figuration mode was hit by the Flames of Rage debuff, the effect location was awkward.

    Fixed an issue in Demian (Normal/Hard) where if Demian used the Sword of Destruction at both ends of the map, sometimes they would not hit.

    Fixed an issue in Lucid (Easy/Normal/Hard) phase 2 where during the powerful attack, sometimes you would not be hit by the laser even if you stood still.

    Fixed an issue in Mu Lung Dojo where certain monsters sometimes moved awkwardly when knocked back.

    Fixed an issue where it looked awkward when using skills that changed the background on the way to Mu Lung Dojo.

    Fixed an issue in 1920×1200 and 1920×1080 resolutions where the ‘Mu Lung Dojo/Mu Lung Dojo Mind and Body Training Centre’ map background was cut off.

    In the Grandis World Map, the Narin area’s missing description has been added.

    Fixed an error in the Foggy Forest Training Centre where if you left the screen and came back, the monster health UI would display duplicates of the same monster.

    Fixed an issue where sometimes the guild mark was not visible.

    Fixed an error where sometimes the range difference appeared abnormally when using the following items.

    • Black Rebirth Flame

    If the Rune cooldown is not currently applied, the Rune liberation guide message will no longer appear.

    When using the Maple Chat, you can now increase the affinity between characters who are friends.

    Fixed an issue in the V Matrix where after selecting a Core, sometimes the Core could be moved.

    Fixed an issue in the Maple Auction where if you tried to relist all your items and it was the same as the maximum amount of items you could put up for sale, they would not be relisted.

    Fixed an issue where certain monster drops in Ellin FOrest like the Moss Snail Shells could not be registered in the pet loot ignore.

    Fixed an issue where if you used the Show Guild Member Location button, the character name would be displayed awkwardly if it started with a number.

    Fixed an issue when using the storage where if it was expanded or collapsed, the storage NPC or character image would not be displayed properly in the UI.

    Fixed an issue where if Phantom replaced a Steal Skill registered in the pet auto buff with a skill that could not be used then disconnected, the registered pet buff would disappear.

    Fixed an issue where item tooltips were hidden below the window when using shops or storage.

    Fixed an issue in the Maple Auction where if pirate classes except for Angelic Buster did not have a weapon equipped, the equipment’s damage range difference would be displayed differently.

    Hyper Burning


    Developer Notes:

    The growth support rewards from the Hyper Burning event were focused on preventing the situation where it would be difficult to hunt smoothly because of insufficient Arcane Force caused by the lack of daily quests in the rapid growth process. For that reason, we designed the rewards around level 5 Arcane Symbols rather than equipment or Core Gemstones.

    However, in response to the players who have shared their opinions that there wasn’t enough support outside of Arcane Force, we have added more Core Gemstones overall, moved the Eternal Flame Ring to level 210 so you can get it faster, and added the choice of Absolabs Weapon Box/Dominator Pendant Box at level 220.

    In addition, when choosing characters above level 200 to use Hyper Burning, we expected that it would mainly be used on existing characters with sufficient growth material, but we did not fully consider players who had started or returned after the Ignition showcase.

    In order to ensure that even players who have recently started or returned can fully enjoy Hyper Burning, we will change it so that you will receive all of the growth rewards even if you choose an existing character to use Hyper Burning on.

    The Hyper Burning character benefit targets have been adjusted.

    • It has been changed so that even existing characters that are chosen as Hyper Burning can receive both the growth support rewards and the level up achievement rewards.

    ※ You can receive the rewards for any levels you have already achieved on your existing character after designating it as Hyper Burning.

    ※ You can only participate in the Hyper Burning Play Points event with newly created characters that are designated as Hyper Burning.

    The Hyper Burning level achievement rewards have been adjusted.

    To bring freshness to the play experience, we have applied a method where humourous skill voices appear infrequently. Some of the skill voices were determined to have low relevance to the characters’ concepts and will be removed, and the overall skill voice appearance frequency will be adjusted.
