    Grand Athenaeum: Book of Grandis


    Requirement: Lv. 100 and above characters that have completed the [Grand Athenaeum] Visit the Grand Athenaeum quest. (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2).

    • The Grand Athenaeum is back with new content!
    • You can move to the Grand Athenaeum through the Maple Guide or the Dimensional Mirror.
    • The ‘Carcion, Cradle of Life’ content has been added to the Book of Grandis.
      • The ‘Carcion, Cradle of Life’ content is unlocked upon having one or more characters that have completed the ‘Cycles of Life Begin Again’ achievement in the same world.
    • The description of the Book of Grandis' ‘Battleship Arteria’ was changed.

    Quest Changes

    • Tutorial quests for the [6th Job] HEXA Matrix quests are now skippable.
    • Some Grand Athenaeum quests in the following 5 episodes had their hunting and gathering target counts decreased:

        • When moving to the Horntail boss battle through the Boss UI, you will be moved immediately to the Cave of Life: Entrance to Horntail's Cave map.
        • When entering the Horntail boss battle through the Boss UI, you will return to the map you were at when using the exit portal.
        • You will be able to teleport to Horntail without the Certificate of the Dragon Squad item.
          • The ‘Certificate of the Dragon Squad’ quest that distributed that item will no longer be available.
    • Ranmaru
      • The defeat count for Ranmaru (Hard) has been changed from 5 to 3.
      • Ranmaru and Restrained Spirit Walker attacks and skills have been adjusted.
      • Flames summoned by the Inferno Spirit Walker no longer apply a Bind skill.
      • When using the portal from the Ranmaru boss battle, it will lead to the entry map.
    • Gollux
      • The screen display area has been changed to be based on areas that can be moved to.
      • Certain portal teleportation locations have been changed.
      • When entering the Gollux boss battle through the Boss UI, you will return to the map you were at when using the exit portal.
      • The foot will now appear right away without a separate animation in the Gollux boss battle starting map.
      • The portal on the foot is marked in the Gollux starting map.

    NPC Changes

    • Storage fees have been removed when withdrawing items from the Storage Keeper.

    Map Changes

    • Fixed the issue of certain decorative elements for the following maps from being displayed behind the character and looking awkward:
      • Moonbridge / White Spear 1
      • Moonbridge / White Spear 2
      • Moonbridge / White Spear 3
    • The Forgotten Temple Keeper’s name will now be visible in the Forgotten Twilight map.
    • The background elements will no longer cover the platforms in the Gentle Summer 4 map.
    • Special portals that exist in Cernium’s Cernium Square map and Odium’s Residential District map will no longer be interactable when the character is in the air.

    UI and Other Improvements


    Character Info UI Revamp

    • The existing [Character Info] UI and [Stat] UI have been consolidated.
      • The existing [Character Info] UI and [Stat] UI have been deleted and set functions/information have been moved to other UI.
        • Mount: Now available from the 'Mount' function in the [Skill] UI.
        • Pet Info: The [Equipment] UI's 'Excluded Items' function has been changed to the 'Pet Info' function.
        • Damage Skin: Now available from the 'Equipment' tab in the [Equipment] UI.
    • Info of other characters can now be viewed.
      • Stats: View the details of the stats that's applied to the target character.
      • Equipment: View the target character's equipment items, symbol, pet, and pet equipment.
      • Skill: View the Link Skill applied to the target character and their 5th/6th Job skills.
      • Decorations: View the fashion presets of the target character and decorative items equipped on the Android.
        • For Angelic Buster and Zero, the decorative items currently applied on the character's outfit will show.
    • New info is added to the [Character Info] UI.
      • Combat Power
        • Combat Power is a fixed number that can be used to easily compare and contrast the growth between different characters.
        • Detailed guides to Combat Power can be viewed by clicking on the Help button on the Character Info UI.

    • The descriptions of some stats have become clearer.

      • The same base Damage Range from before is displayed in the Character Info UI.
    • A function that can change the background of the character avatar area has been added.
      • The background can be changed by clicking on the character avatar area in the Character Info UI.
    • The stat's current values and applied values can now be viewed with a pop-up.
      • The target stat's current values and applied values can be viewed with a pop-up by clicking on each stat.
      • Stat pop-ups can't be viewed from the Character Info UI of another character.
    • The summon duration increase stats in the Character Info UI can be viewed.
    • Added a command to view the Character Info UI of the target character.
      • Entering the following command in the chat window will activate the Character Info UI of that character.
        • /characterinfo name or /info name
      • This cannot be used if the target character is offline or too far away.

    UI Changes

    • Boss HP UI will now be updated more frequently.
    • 'Fever time increases the enhancement success rate!' text will no longer display in the tooltip for items that have a 100% chance of success in the Item Enhancement UI.
    • The UI that shows owned Sol Erda Energy information will now be consolidated so that it will display the amount of owned Sol Erda Energy and Sol Erda Fragments.
    • The UI that shows the amount of owned Sol Erda Energy and Sol Erda Fragments can now be opened with a shortcut key.
    • The activation status for the UI that shows the amount of owned Sol Erda Energy and Sol Erda Fragments is maintained even when logged out.
    • The more recently requested players in the Recruit Boss Party info UI will now be visible at the top of the request list.
    • The Sacred Power requirement that can be set in the Recruit Boss Party post has been expanded to 660.
    • The three most recent players to have shared a map with you will appear in the list of characters you can report when using the Report function.
    • The Effects tab has been added to the Options UI and a number of settings have been moved from the Graphics tab to the Effects tab.
    • The UI optimization option has been replaced by the UI size option for resolutions of 1920 x 1080 and higher. The UI size options are as follows:
      • Base Ratio: Increases the UI size to the same ratio as the UI in 1366 x 768 resolution.
      • Base Ratio (Filter Applied): Increases the UI size to the same ratio as the UI in 1366 x 768 resolution and applies a filter.
      • Ideal Ratio: The UI changes to the appropriate size for the current resolution.
    • Players that are in Invisible mode can no longer be invited to the party with the Party Invite command or through the Party UI. However, if you are in the same channel and the same map as the Invisible player, you can invite that player with the Party Invite command or through the Party UI.
    • Join requests can't be made to friends who are Invisible in the Zero Mirror World dungeon.
    • If there aren’t enough players in your party to start Ursus, the matching function will now instantly start searching without requiring a vote.

    Guild Changes

    • The Guild Megaphone has been removed.
    • The Noblesse Guild Skill's buff effect no longer disappears, even after logging out and logging back in again.
      • However, the duration still counts down while logged out.
    • The retry function for Culvert has been added. Retries can be done through Daedal in the Path from the Altar map and buff effects aren't reset when entering again.
    • A Scarecrow monster has been added to the Path to the Altar map.
    • The completion condition for the Flag Race has been changed from 3 to 1, and the amounts of points earned for each course have been changed to the following:
      • Daylight Snowfield
        • Less than 44 seconds: 1,000 points
        • 44 seconds - 45 seconds: 800 points
        • 46 seconds - 47 seconds: 650 points
        • 48 seconds - 49 seconds: 550 points

      • Players can enter Harvesting Farm maps when the character has defeated 1,000 or more monsters near their level.
        • Players can see the number of defeated monsters in the Profession UI.
      • Players are automatically removed from the Harvesting Farm when their Fatigue is depleted.
    • The chance of a Grand Spell Essence dropping from monsters has been increased.
    • Players can now extract up to 10 items at once when Smithing and Accessory Crafting have been learned.
    • Extraction will now be based on the learned Profession with the highest level when using the Inventory's Extract button in Ardentmill. However, if the Alchemy Profession is at the level of a Master Craftsman or higher, the extraction will be based on the Alchemy level.
    • Players can now harvest or mine Gold Flower, Mysterious Vein, Mysterious Legendary Herb, and Mysterious Legendary Vein when their character has defeated 1,000 or more monsters near their level in the same day.
    • The chance of Arkarium (Easy, Normal) dropping Confusion Fragments has been increased.
    • There is now a low chance for Dusk Essence and Brilliant Dusk Essence to drop from Purple Herbs.
    • The following item recipes were changed to require Juniper Berry Flower Oil instead of Juniper Berry Seed Oil:
      • Strength Potion X Recipe
      • Intelligence Potion X Recipe

    Monster Life Changes

    • The following changes have been made to Monster Life to improve convenience.
      • The chances of a special category monster spawning when combined has been increased.
      • The max Waru storage of all buildings have been increased to 400% of their original values.
      • Auto-collection will now collect Waru from all buildings at once.
      • The Cash Shop button from Monster Life has been removed.
      • The pop-up that directs players to the Cash Shop from Monster Life when players have insufficient Gems has been removed.
    • The feature of using Monster Life Gems to extend their lives will be kept the same.
    • The lives of monsters can now be extended by using Waru.
      • Extension costs:
        • Normal S Rank: 260,000 Waru
        • Special C Rank: 500 Waru
        • Special B Rank: 5,000 Waru
        • Special B+ Rank: 30,000 Waru

      • Trickblade
        • When Shadower uses Trickblade on the boss Kalos the Guardian (Easy, Normal, Chaos, Extreme), they will no longer be moved somewhere that's too far away.
    • Luminous
      • Fixed instances of Luminous's light/dark gauge being reset upon entering content that removes buffs.
    • Hoyoung
      • Fixed instances of Hoyoung's Talisman Energy and Scroll Energy being reset upon entering content that removes buffs.
    • Kanna
      • If a player dies while using Spirit's Domain, a Spiritstone will be re-summoned upon revival.
        • Buff will not be reapplied until reviving. The duration is still consumed while dead.
      • The Yuki-musume Shoukan skill icon can be removed by right-clicking.
      • The max Magic ATT from Blessing of the Five Elements is limited to 200.
        • [Developer Comment]
          • Blessing of the Five Elements is a passive skill that increases 1 Magic ATT per 700 HP. The current specification has no limitations to the max Magic ATT which in turn may cause unintended differences with other classes, so we added a limit to the max Magic ATT increase.
    • Hayato
      • A guide message will display when there are no nearby monsters while attempting to use Battoujutsu Zankou.
      • Quick Draw stance is now maintained upon revival.

    • You can start this event by completing the ‘[Minar Picnic] A Day for a Picnic’ quest through the event notifier on the left side of the screen or by talking to Chino who’s located in the Minar Picnic event map.
      • Upon completing the quest, you can click on the event notifier on the left side of the screen to check your event progression status.
      • Event progression is shared across all characters within the account.
    • You can receive Red Maple Leaves and additional rewards by using the check-in feature in the event UI after defeating 1,000 monsters near your level (20 levels below and 20 levels above).
      • Using the check-in feature is limited 5 times a week and can be done once a day per account.
      • You can receive 2,000 Red Maple Leaves daily per account by using the check-in feature and will receive 4,000 Red Maple Leaves for every 5th check-in.
    • You can make up incomplete check-ins through the Minar Picnic Pass for 3,000 Maple Points.
      • The use count is equal to the number of incomplete check-ins for the previous week.
        • Weeks start and end every Wednesday at 12:00 AM UTC.
    • After completing all 20 check-ins, you can start the ‘[Minar Picnic] Picnic Ending’ daily quest through the event notifier on the left side of the screen or by talking to Chino located in the Warm Field map.
      • After completing the ‘[Minar Picnic] Picnic Ending’ daily quest, you can receive a EXP x3 Coupon (30 min) reward once a day per account upon defeating 1,000 monsters near your level (20 levels below and 20 levels above).

    Halflinger Treasure Hunt

    Requirement: Lv. 101 and above. (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2). Your character must have completed the ‘[Minar Picnic] Joyful Picnic’ quest.

    • There’s treasure out there just waiting for you to find it!
    • You can start this event by accepting the ‘[Halflinger Treasure Hunt] Exciting Treasure Hunt!’ quest from the event notifier on the left side of the screen or by talking to Kona who’s located in the Minar Picnic event map.
      • After completing the quest, you can click on the event notifier on the left side of the screen to check event progression status.
      • The progression for the Halflinger Treasure Hunt event is shared across all characters on your account.
    • You can dispatch 3 Halflingers to different locations after defeating 1,000 monsters near your level (20 levels below and 20 levels above).
      • One Halflinger can be sent to each location and the type of treasure found is based on the location.
        • Multiple Halflingers cannot be sent to the same location within the same dispatch.
      • One dispatch can be made a day per account up to a total of 5 dispatches a week.
    • When selecting a location to dispatch the Halflingers, select which Bento Box you want to send them with.
      • Yellow Bento Box: Guaranteed amount of rewards when used.
      • Red Bento Box: The amount of rewards is determined on a set chance when used. (55%, 30%, 15%)
    • Players can see the results of their Halflingers’ Treasure Hunt every day at 12:00 AM UTC.
      • Rewards can then be claimed immediately once a day per account.
      • Rewards must be obtained before the next Treasure Hunt will become available.

    • You can start this event by accepting the ‘[Halflinger Pinwheel Play] Corba's Child Care’ quest from the event notifier on the left side of the screen or by talking to Corba who’s located in the Minar Picnic event map.
    • After completing the quest, you will receive the Halflinger Pinwheel Play skill in the beginner tab of your skill UI.
      • The Halflinger Pinwheel Play skill will activate automatically when you enter a hunting map with monsters near your level (20 levels below and 20 levels above).
      • You can turn this skill on and off by right-clicking on the skill window.
    • The Halflinger Pinwheel Play skill allows you to gain 1 Fever Gauge space for every 30 monsters defeated near your level (20 levels below and 20 levels above).
    • Upon gaining 10 Fever Gauge spaces the Halflinger Pinwheel Play: Maple Leaf Sliding skill will automatically activate and a significant amount of EXP can be obtained.
      • This skill attacks up to 15 enemies with 1500% damage x5, 7 times
      • This skill is affected by EXP increasing effects and death penalty EXP reduction effects.
      • Please be aware that the Halflinger Pinwheel Play: Maple Leaf Sliding skill will end mid-way if you change maps, channels, or enter the Cash Shop.
      • You can activate this skill up to 10 times a day per character.
    • The Halflinger Pinwheel Play: Maple Leaf Sliding skill will not be available during the following situations:
      • Maps without monsters near your level (20 levels below and 20 levels above).
      • Map with Halflinger Pinwheel Play skill activated by another player.
      • Special maps such as Mirror World, Story Mode, etc.
      • If a player dies midway through the skill activation.
      • Skill was activated 10 times already for the day on that character.

    • Upgrade your Halflinger skill even further to maximize your training!
    • The Once More! Halflinger Flower Viewing event can only be started after all story quests related to [Minar Picnic] have been completed.
    • You can start this event by accepting the ‘[Once More! Halflinger Flower Viewing] Look at the Flowers’ quest from the event notifier on the left side of the screen or by talking to Kupo who’s located in the Minar Picnic event map.
    • After completing the quest, you will receive the Halflinger Flower Viewing skill in the beginner tab of your skill UI.
      • The Halflinger Flower Viewing skill will activate automatically when you enter a hunting map with monsters near your level (20 levels below and 20 levels above).
      • You can turn this skill on and off by right-clicking on the skill window.
    • The Halflinger Flower Viewing skill allows you to gain 1 Fever Gauge space for every 30 monsters defeated near your level (20 levels below and 20 levels above).
    • Upon gaining 10 Fever Gauge spaces and finishing the activation of the Halflinger Pinwheel Play: Maple Leaf Sliding skill, the Halflinger Flower Viewing skill will automatically activate and a significant amount of EXP can be obtained.
      • This skill attacks up to 15 enemies with 1500% damage x5, 7 times
      • This skill is only visible to you and it is affected by EXP increasing effects and death penalty EXP reduction effects.
      • You can activate this skill up to 10 times a day per character.
    • After the Halflinger Pinwheel Play: Maple Leaf Sliding skill finishes, the Flower Field Halflinger skill will automatically activate.
      • This skill summons 5 Halflingers that attack up to 15 enemies with 1500% damage 5 times.
    • The Halflinger Flower Viewing skill will not be available during the following situations:
      • Maps without monsters near your level.
      • Map with Halflinger Flower Viewing skill activated by another player.
      • Special maps such as Mirror World, Story Mode, etc.
      • Skill was activated 10 times already for the day on that character.
      • If you change maps, channels, or enter the Cash Shop.

    • If you haven’t heard about Forest Blast you should give it a try. You’ll have a blast!
    • You can start this event by accepting the ‘[Forest Blast] Abyssal Forest’ quest from the event notifier on the left side of the screen or by talking to Dolly who’s located in the Minar Picnic event map.
    • Talk to Dolly and selecting one of the following options to enter the queue:
      • Quick Start: You will automatically be paired with 3 other players in the Quick Start queue to play together. You must not be in a party.
      • Party Play: Be in a party of 1 - 4 players and start immediately.
    • Once the game starts, players can select between the dragons Raiden, Bark, Voltarix, or Fluid. Each team member must select different dragons and will have 30 minutes to play the game.
    • Each dragon has their own unique skills and becomes more powerful with advanced levels.
    • At certain levels, your dragon will learn various skills and even change their appearance.
      • Hotkeys for your skills can be changed by clicking the skill icon and then pressing the desired key during gameplay.
        • The changed hotkeys will apply to all characters within the account.
    • There are 6 different areas where various normal and special monsters will spawn.
    • You can see your position and the rest of your party's positions within the minimap UI on the left of the screen.
      • Even if you are on a different map from your party, the EXP obtained from their hunt is shared.
    • The game will end when the Abyss Manon is defeated by finishing the hunts within the time limit.
    • A penalty may be applied if you don't play for a set period of time or if you are the first to leave the game in a party of 4.
    • Clearing a round of Forest Blast will reward you with 1,000 EXP points, which can be obtained once a day and up to three times a week per account.
      • EXP points are distributed when you exit the event map.
      • Only characters level 200 and above can receive EXP points.
    • You can talk to Dolly who’s located in the Minar Picnic event map to redeem EXP points for an amount of EXP that matches the character’s current level.
      • Characters above Lv. 260 will receive the same amount of EXP as Lv. 260 characters.
    • You can still participate in Forest Blast even after obtaining EXP points, but you won’t earn any additional EXP points.
    • The number of times you can obtain weekly EXP Points will reset every Wednesday at 12:00 AM UTC.
    • The EXP points can be used until April 30th at 11:59 PM UTC.
    • After receiving EXP points a certain amount of times, you can receive the Cumulative EXP Point rewards by talking to Dolly.
      • All rewards can be claimed only once per account.
    • You can start the ‘[Forest Blast] Doddy's Dragon Research’ quest once a week by talking to Doddy who’s located in the Autumn Minar Forest: Warm Autumn Field.
      • Even if you have met the Doddy's Dragon Research completion conditions, you can't proceed with more research with another dragon until the rewards have been claimed.
      • Doddy's Dragon Research can only be done once a week per account.
      • Already completed dragon research can't be done again.
      • Doddy's Dragon Research is reset every Wednesday at 12:00 AM UTC.

    Drop the Acorn

    Requirement: Lv. 200 and above. (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2). Your character must have completed the ‘[Minar Picnic] A Day For a Picnic’ quest and their 5th Job advancement quest.

    • Test your strength in the Drop the Acorn event!
    • You can start this event by accepting the ‘[Drop the Acorn] Finding the Acorn Tree’ quest from the event notifier on the left of the screen or by talking to Moose who’s located in the Minar Picnic event map.
    • When you enter the Drop the Acorn challenge, you will be moved to the preparation map and given 2 minutes to prepare. When you’re ready, talk to Moose to move to the battle map.
      • Note: All buff effects will disappear upon entering. Buff effects previously applied are kept when you exit the map to challenge again.
    • Once you enter the battle map, you have 2 minutes to attack the monsters that appear to earn points.
      • You can earn up to max 1,150 points daily.
      • The points obtained will be reset when you leave the battle midway.
    • There are a total of 6 stages and the monsters’ HP and defense will increase as you progress through the stages.
    • Once you complete the Drop the Acorn challenge, Moose will give you an EXP reward immediately once per week on one character per world. The higher your score, the more rewards you will obtain.
      • If the character that received the EXP reward achieved a higher score than a previous attempt, you can receive an additional EXP reward that makes up the difference.
      • The daily best record is reset every day at 12:00 AM UTC.
      • Note: Make sure to participate in the event with the character you wish to receive the EXP reward with!
    • If you played the Drop the Acorn challenge and received all the EXP rewards for the week, you can still participate in the game but will no longer obtain the EXP reward.
    • The EXP reward can be obtained by one character weekly per world.
    • Weekly EXP reward acquisition is reset every Wednesday at 12:00 AM UTC.

    • If you plan on bossing during the Minar Picnic events, make sure to spend your Yellow Maple Leaves at the Yellow Maple Leaf Store!
    • You can access the Yellow Maple Leaf Store by talking to Max who’s in the Minar Picnic event map.
    • You can receive Yellow Maple Leaves after defeating weekly bosses by talking to Max or by using the event notifier on the left side of the screen.
      • You can obtain up to 1,600 Yellow Maple Leaves weekly per world.
        • Yellow Maple Leaves are shared between your characters in the same world.
      • Note: Daily and monthly bosses do not count.

    Tinkerer’s Chest

    Requirement: Lv. 33 and above. (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2)

    • If you are lucky enough to receive a Tinkerer’s Chest, make sure to exchange it!
    • This event can be started when you obtain a Tinkerer's Chest from the Marvel Machine.
    • Talk to Yulia, who can be found in major towns and the entry to Henesys Market, to accept quests to exchange your Tinkerer's Chest for a new shoulder accessory or belt, or to attempt to upgrade your Tinkerer equipment.
    • Wearing a matching color shoulder accessory and belt will give you a set bonus.
    • Accept the 'Tinkerer's Set' quest from Yulia to receive an explanation about how to do the event.
    • Then accept the 'Tinker Til You Drop' quest from Yulia and defeat 200 monsters near your level (20 levels below and 20 levels above).
    • Turn in the quest to Yulia and she will give you a random shoulder or belt equipment.
      • This will use 1 Tinkerer's Chest.
      • This quest is repeatable.
    • You can also bring your Tinkerer item to Yulia for the chance to upgrade it!
      • Each upgrade attempt uses 1 Tinkerer's Chest.
    • From weakest to strongest, the Tinkerer's set colors are Yellow -> Green -> Blue -> Red -> Black.
      • Each colored set comes with its own set bonus.
