    Familiar System Revamp

    • Familiar System Revamp is finally here!
    • If you haven’t already, check out our Familiar Revamp Details post for Community FAQ.
    • Accept ‘[Familiar] Roro and Me’ quest within the Roro icon on the left side of the screen to go over the new Familiar System and its UI.
    • Crusader Codex and its slot in the Equip UI have been replaced by Roro.
    • Familiars can be obtained from monster drops and booster packs in the Cash Shop and Familiar Shop.
    • You can register a duplicate Familiar as a new Familiar in the Familiar System UI.
    • New players can possess up to 100 Familiars. If players had more than 100 Familiars prior to the v.213 update, they will have 20 extra slots on top of the number of their existing Familiars.
      • Familiar slots can be expanded up to 2,000 slots using the Familiar Slot Expansion Coupon (non-Reboot worlds only).
    • [Updated April 21] Same Familiar cards can now be stacked up to 100 cards in your inventory.
    • The function to set a Familiar name upon registering the Familiar card has been removed. Instead, you can now use 2,000,000 mesos to change Familiar names in the Collection tab of the Familiar System UI.
    • The Familiar Lock function will be available to exclude Familiars from being counted when ‘Select All’ is selected for Fusion or Extraction.
    • Familiars will now deal damage in proportion to Familiar’s attack power and player’s damage.
    • Players that purchased the Permanent Legendary Booster Pack prior to the v.213 update will be refunded with 7,500 Maple Points per pack purchased, due to the price and list change that comes with this revamp.
    • Players who have the following Crusader Codex medals will receive the listed compensation through a quest within the star event notifier:

    Familiar Levels

    • All Familiars will be Lv. 1 when first obtained and they can level up to Lv. 5 by gaining EXP while participating in battles when summoned. You must be defeating monsters near your level (20 levels below and 20 levels above).
    • You can use Familiar Breakthrough Card to increase the level capacity of Unique and Legendary Familiars up to Lv. 7.
    • A Familiar’s attack power and defense have a chance to increase as they level up.
    • Common to Epic Familiars can rank up when they reach the maximum level for their current Familiar Quality Rank. Unique Familiars can only rank up using the Red Familiar Card regardless of their level.
      • Max Level for Common to Epic Ranks: Lv. 5
      • Max Level for Unique to Legendary Ranks: Lv. 5 (Level capacity can be increased to Lv. 7 using the Familiar Breakthrough Card for non-Reboot worlds only.)

    Familiar Quality Ranks

    • Existing Familiar Quality Ranks will change to the following:
      • Common -> Common
      • [Updated April 21] Uncommon -> Rare
      • Rare -> Epic
      • Legendary -> Unique
    • A new Familiar Quality Rank (Legendary) has been added on top of the Unique Rank.
    • Common to Epic Familiars can rank up when they reach the maximum level for their current Familiar Quality Rank and have enough Rank-Up Points.
      • Rank-Up Points required / probability of success for each rank up:
        • Common to Rare: 50 Rank-Up Points / 100%
        • Rare to Epic: 100 Rank-Up Points / 80%
        • Epic to Unique: 150 Rank-Up Points / 40%
      • If the rank up fails, 50% of the Rank-Up Points will be lost.
    • Rank-Up Points can be obtained by fusing duplicate Familiars through the Fusion section within the Collection tab of the Familiar System UI. You can earn different amounts of Rank-Up Points based on what Familiar Quality Rank the card undergoing Fusion is.
      • Common Familiar: 1 Rank-Up Point
      • Rare Familiar: 2 Rank-Up Points
      • Epic Familiar: 3 Rank-Up Points
      • Unique Familiar: 4 Rank-Up Points
      • Legendary Familiar: 5 Rank-Up Points
    • Rank-Up Points can also be obtained from purchasing a Suspicious Fauxmiliar Coupon from the Familiar Shop (in both Reboot and non-Reboot worlds) and Booster Pack and Unique Booster Pack from the Cash Shop (non-Reboot worlds only).
    • The Red Familiar Card can be used to reroll Potential on any familiar (non-Reboot worlds only). This item also has a small chance to instantly rank up your Familiar by 1 rank. You can even rank up from Unique to Legendary using this card!
    • Familiar Quality Rank colors will be adjusted to that of Potential ranks.

    Familiar Potentials

    • Familiars will now have 2 Familiar Potentials, one based on their current rank and other based on the previous rank. These stats will be applied to the player when the Familiar is summoned.
    • If you have Familiars registered prior to the v.213 update, those Familiars’ passive effects will be kept as its Potential until you perform a Potential reset or rank up. Empty Potential slots will be filled with a line of Potential granting STR/DEX/INT/LUK +1.
    • If a Familiar's old Potential does not exist, it will be replaced with another Potential, such as STR/DEX/LUK/INT +1.
    • Familiars registered after the v.213 update will receive random Potentials based on their Familiar Quality Rank.
    • When you obtain a Familiar card, its Potentials will be locked. It will require 35,000 mesos to unlock the Familiar Potential.
    • Familiar Potentials can be reset when the Familiar ranks up or by using the Red Familiar Card.

    Summoning Familiars

    • At first, you can only summon 1 Familiar at a time. You must complete quests to be able to summon 3 Familiars at once using the Familiar System UI.
      • Slot 1: Unlocked by default for all characters.
      • Slot 2: Unlocked by completing a quest after collecting your first Familiar Badge.
      • Slot 3: Unlocked by completing a quest after collecting 10 Familiar Badges.
    • You can designate the Familiars to summon in the Setup tab of the Familiar System UI.
    • After equipping your first Familiar, use the ‘Summon Familiar’ skill in the Beginner Tab of your Skill UI to summon the Familiars.

    Summon Gauge

    • Vitality Gauge has been changed to Summon Gauge.
    • For players who had up to 3 Familiar cards registered for Vitality, the previously stacked Familiar cards will be registered separately in the Familiar System UI.
    • Summon Gauge will continuously be consumed while the Familiar is summoned. The summon gauge will deplete slower if your Familiars have a high enough combined Defense value.
    • All Familiars summoned will share the same Summon Gauge.
    • Summon Gauge will be charged fully at 12:00 AM UTC on a daily basis. You can use Familiar Essence from the Familiar Shop to charge 50% of the Summon Gauge as well.

    Familiar Badges

    • Similar to the previous Familiar Set Effects, you must collect Familiars that meet the badge requirements to earn the badge.
    • You can equip up to 8 Familiar Badges and have their effects applied. Some badge effects can be stacked to a certain amount.
