    Better Maple

    • Cubes and Rebirth Flames Obtainment Improvements
      • Elite Monsters and Elite Champions now have a chance to drop cubes and flames when defeated.
        • Developer Comments: We've unified the obtainment method to one where players can receive these items upon defeating the Elite Monsters and Elite Champions that appear on the map. The cubes will be kept almost the same as before, however, the obtainment of Rebirth Flames will be increased by about 5 times. The Rebirth Flames can be obtained at a higher rate in areas where the monsters' levels are high. We plan to continue monitoring the overall Rebirth Flame obtainment and consumption rates after the update and make adjustments if deemed necessary. Upon any change that had been decided, we'll inform players through an announcement.
        • The drop items added are the following:
          • Master Craftsman's Cube: Tradeable within account, 7-day duration.
          • Meister's Cube: Tradeable within account, 7-day duration.
          • Powerful Rebirth Flame: Tradeable, 7-day duration.
          • Eternal Rebirth Flame: Tradeable, 7-day duration.
          • Black Rebirth Flame: Tradeable, 7-day duration.
          • Cubic Blade (Non-Reboot worlds only): Tradeable.
          • Cubic Chaos Blade (Non-Reboot worlds only): Tradeable.
          • Unrelenting Flame (Non-Reboot worlds only): Tradeable.
          • Forever Unrelenting Flame (Non-Reboot worlds only): Tradeable.
          • Forever Unrelenting Black Flame (Non-Reboot worlds only): Tradeable.
        • The rate of obtaining Rebirth Flames has been increased by around 5 times.
      • Black Rebirth Flame can be crafted by characters that have Accessory Crafting as their Profession.
        • Developer Comments: Black Rebirth Flame and its crafting materials (Forever Unrelenting Black Flame) have been added. The obtainment rate is about half of the Eternal Rebirth Flame, and we plan to continue monitoring and making adjustments on this as well.
        • It can only be crafted by a Meister rank or above.
        • The following materials are required to craft a Black Rebirth Flame:
          • Mana Crystal (x500)
          • Rebirth Fragment (x30)
          • Grand Spell Essence (x50)
          • Forever Unrelenting Black Flame (x5)
        • Black Rebirth Flame and Forever Unrelenting Black Flame have been added.
      • The following items have been removed from the respective content:
        • Developer Comments: Cube and Rebirth Flame items that used to drop at a low rate from boss monsters have been removed as well. We'll be sure to provide you with a more appropriate experience when revamping the boss reward.
        • Elite Monster and Elite Champion: Golden Hammer 50%

      • The animation time for Star Force and Spell Trace Enhancements has been shortened to 1/5 of what it used to be.
      • Tradeability of Secondary Weapons has been updated from untradeable to tradeable for Mechanic, Demon Avenger, Demon Slayer, and Mihile classes.
        • Developer Comments: Secondary Weapons' attribution has changed from untradeable to tradeable for Mechanic, Demon Avenger, Demon Slayer, and Mihile. Unlike other Jobs, Emblem and Secondary Weapon have all been untradeable for the said Jobs. Since it served as a barrier when creating a new character and an inconvenience to existing characters, this has been improved. Potential can now be added to the Secondary Weapons distributed upon 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Job Advancements. Secondary Weapons can now be unequipped on the Equip window and they will no longer be retrieved when a piece of higher equipment is distributed.
        • Potentials can now be added to the Secondary Weapons distributed upon completion of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Job Advancements.
        • Secondary Weapons can be unequipped from the Equip UI and will no longer be removed even when higher level equipment has been distributed.
        • These Secondary Weapons can now be purchased from the Secondary Weapon Vendor:
          • Force Shield of Patience
          • Force Shield of Will
          • Force Shield of Authority
          • Magnum
          • Split Magnum
          • Vital Magnum
          • Soul Shield of Protection
          • Soul Shield of Pride
          • Soul Shield of Courage
        • The following are the affected Secondary Weapons:
          • Mechanic: Magnum, Split Magnum, Vital Magnum, Eternal Magnum, Evolving Eternal Magnum

          • Demon Slayer: Force Shield of Patience, Force Shield of Will, Force Shield of Authority, Force Shield of Extremes, Evolving Force Shield of Extremes
          • Mihile: Soul Shield of Protection, Soul Shield of Pride, Soul Shield of Courage, Soul Shield of Justice, Evolving Soul Shield of Justice
        • [Updated July 22] Secondary Weapons obtained from Princess No will keep the existing specification.
          • [Updated July 22] We will provide an update on the Princess No Secondary Weapons at a later date.
      • Certain buffs will no longer be removed upon game client crashes.
        • Developer Comments: When the game client unintentionally crashes for various reasons, numerous Use items that have been used would be removed and be an inconvenience to the gameplay. On top of the EXP-related Use items that are already kept, 2 types of EXP-related Atmospheric Effect buffs, Wealth Acquisition Potion, and 4 types of potions that can be crafted at Alchemy's Meister level have all been updated so that they would not be removed upon game client crash.

    • Explorer Emblem Obtainment Improvements
      • Developer Comments: Explorers' exclusive quests that players had to complete to obtain Emblems are longer compared to that of the other Jobs. We've improved this by making the Explorer Emblems obtainable upon reaching the required level to reduce the inconvenience.
      • The following Explorers’ Emblem quests have been changed so that the Explorer characters can receive the Emblems by simply reaching the required level.
        • The ‘Reward from the Explorer’s Guild’ quest requirement has been updated so that it can be started once the Explorer character reaches Lv. 70 and above. Quest name has been changed to ‘Explorer’s Token’.
        • The ‘Maple Island’s Savior’ quest requirement has been updated so that it can be started once the Explorer character reaches Lv. 100 and above. Quest name has been changed to ‘Free Explorer’s Token’.
        • These quests will be available in the lightbulb notifier on the left side of the screen for Explorer characters that meet the level requirements but have yet to complete the Explorers’ Emblem quest after July 21 maintenance.
    • Reboot World Improvements
      • Developer Comments: Due to Reboot world's unique characteristics, the Droplet Stones are untradeable and players had to endure various penalties to obtain the Arcane River Droplet Stone after exceeding a certain level range. To mitigate this, a function has been added to NPC Kanto located in Lachelein, Morass, and Esfera where players can exchange the Droplet Stones with one another.
      • Droplet Stones can now be traded.
        • Arcane River Droplet Stone and Stone Origin Droplet can now be exchanged with one another via Kanto.
        • Kanto can be found in Lachelein, Morass, and Esfera.

      • Fixed the issue where Phantom Tree regeneration animation appeared unnatural and was not applied to Sanity.
      • Monster respawn time for Phantom Tree has been reduced to about 5.5 seconds.
      • [Updated July 21] The required number of Phantom Tree monsters defeated for the '[Wanted] Logging Work' quest has been adjusted to 50.
      • The Special Monsters will appear more frequently and often.
