    • Kain’s primary weapon is a Whispershot, and his secondary weapon is a Weapon Belt.
    • Level up with your Kain character and receive valuable rewards from Kain's Road to Remembrance event!
    • The max character slot has been increased from 52 to 53.

    • Facing the Past: Return to Toolen City. Max Level 1.

    • Exclusive Spell: Increase the Attack Power and Magic ATT of all nearby characters. Max Level 1.
      • Lv. 1: MP Cost: 30, Attack Power and Magic ATT +4%, Duration. 40 minutes.
    • Time to Prepare: Make the necessary preparations to assassinate your target. Max Level 2.
      • Lv. 2: After completing Time to Prepare at least 1 time, then upon either defeating 8 enemies or attacking a boss 5 times, damage increases by 17% for 20 seconds, for every 5 times you've stacked Time to Prepare. Cooldown: 40 seconds.

    1st Job

    • Strike Arrow: Lay down multi-arrow suppression fire. Max Level 20.
      • Lv. 20: MP Cost: 14, Damage: 70%, Max Enemies Hit: 4, Number of Attacks: 5, Arrow Fragment Attack up to 2 enemies near your initial target 5 times, dealing 55% damage.

    • Dragon Fang: Enticed by the scent of death, the fangs of the Devil Dragon materialize on the physical plane. Can be toggled On/Off. Max Level 20.
      • Lv. 20: Duration: 40 seconds. Kain’s direct skill attacks activate Dragon Fang, which moves towards the enemy and deals 100% damage 4 times. After activating, skill casts up to 7 times before returning. Damage against normal monsters: +50%, Max Summon: 3. Attack Mode Cooldown: 3 seconds.

      • Lv. 25: MP Cost: 750, Max Key-down Duration: 5 seconds, Damage: 800%, Max Enemies Hit: 12, Number of Consecutive Attacks: 12, Max Attack Activation: 15. Immediately ends when all of the attack activations is consumed. Can change direction but need to wait 0.5 seconds to change direction again. Cooldown: 90 seconds.
    • [Execute] Fatal Blitz: [Execute Skill] Move rapidly, dealing fatal consecutive blows to the front. Max Level 25.
      • Lv. 25: MP Cost: 750, Duration: 2 seconds, Damage: 600%, Max Enemies Hit: 8, Number of Consecutive Attacks: 12, Max Attack Activation: 14. When all of the attack activations is consumed, the effect ends immediately. Cooldown: 90 seconds.
    • Thanatos Descent: Malice and death descend to the ground as you unite in spirit with Satiras the Devil Dragon. Max Level 25.
      • Lv. 25: MP Cost: 1,000, Duration: 35 seconds, Damage: +40%, Knockback Resistance: +50%. Malice created periodically increases by 40. Malice created when Whispershot skill hits increases by 35. If your attack skill hits, Damage: 650%, Number of Attacks: 3, Number of Arrows of Death: 6, Damage against normal monsters: +25%, Cooldown: 3 seconds. Using the skill again ends the effect immediately, while also activating Death Domain, which attacks 15 consecutive times, dealing 1,300% damage to up to 15 enemies. While casting Death Domain, you are invincible. Cooldown: 180 seconds.
    • Grip of Agony: Use the enemy’s death throes as an offering to summon Satiras the Devil Dragon’s Hand of Agony, which ignores attack reflection. Max Level 25.
      • Lv. 25: MP Cost: 1,000, Required Death Throes: 1. Consumes all harvested Death Throes to summon Hand of Agony for 6 seconds attacking up to 12 enemies for 950% damage 6 consecutive times. Duration increases by 1 second for each additional Death Throe consumed. Cooldown: 180 seconds.
        • Passive Effect: Upon either defeating 30 enemies or attacking a boss 25 times, you can harvest up to 15 Death Throes.

    Cernium, City of the Gods


    UTC: Available June 9 (after maintenance)

    Requirement: Lv. 260 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2). Your character must have completed the 5th Job Advancement and ‘[Cernium (Before)] Cernium Unified’ quest.

    • The story of Cernium continues, as the sundering of the barriers between worlds caused by the dearth of Transcendents has managed to take the situation from bad to worse.
    • The city aflame, dark forces on the advance, and only the heroes of Maple World, charged with Sacred Power, can hope to hold back the tide.
    • After completing the '[Cernium (Before)] Cernium Unified' quest, you can accept the ‘Cernium (After) Burning Sky’ quest from the lightbulb on the left side of the screen when your character is Lv. 265 and above.
    • Sacred Power
      • Upon completion of the Cernium questline, you will receive the ‘A Divine Power’ quest from the star event notifier on the left side of the screen. Complete the quest to obtain Sacred Symbol: Cernium.
      • By equipping the Sacred Symbol, you will receive Sacred Power. You can combine multiple Sacred Symbols to gain power and increase stats.
        • For Demon Avenger and Xenon, stats appropriate for each job class will be increased.
      • Sacred Symbol can be leveled up to Lv. 11 max and each level increase the Sacred Power by 10.
      • Once you complete the Cernium questline, you will unlock daily quests from Priest of Fire located on the Cernium Square map. Complete the quests to obtain Sacred Symbol: Cernium.
      • Once you complete Burning Cernium questline, you will unlock daily quests from Priest of Dawn located at the Destroyed Cernium Square. Complete the quests to obtain Sacred Symbol: Cernium.
    • In Cernium, Elite Champions will appear instead of Elite Bosses. Elite Champions that appear in Cernium maps will not drop the Rare Treasure Chest.
    • Complete the battle at Cernium to receive the Salvation In Your Own Hands medal!

    Rewards:

    • Salvation In Your Own Hands: Medal. Untradeable. Lv. Req.: Lv. 200. Weapon ATT/Magic ATT +3. The medal will register in your Medal Collection.

    Better Maple

    • Boss Matchmaking Changes
      • Players will now be moved to the boss waiting lobby using the Boss Matching UI without needing to be matched successfully.
      • Since the boss matchmaking function is removed, the Form Party buff has been removed.
      • Maple Guide’s Boss Matchmaking button has been updated to ‘Move to Boss’.
      • Maple Guide’s matching guide information message has been updated to reflect the changes.
      • Boss Matching UI’s tip information message has been updated to reflect the changes.
      • Community setting button’s Party Finder option has been renamed to ‘Party & Boss’.
    • Pet’s Boss Reward Pick Up Changes
      • Pet’s Auto Move skill feature has been changed to only pick up individual attributed rewards on the map when completing weekly and monthly bosses.
      • If only one player is present when the boss rewards are dropped, this change will not be applied and the pet will pick up all rewards.
    • Text has been added to indicate that mouse wheel click can be used to change the comparison item when the player is comparing stats of rings and pendants.
    • Players can no longer use the ESC button in the Ursus expedition UI.
    • NPC Collector has been added to the Quick Move UI.
    • Players can now compare the item linked in chat with the character’s currently equipped item.
    • Meso Market Changes
      • Meso Market trades are now shared between player’s characters in the same world to enhance trade convenience.
      • Details of in-progress trades for other characters in the same world can be viewed.
      • Listing, Canceling, and Collecting has been changed to “per world”.
      • Meso Market trade completion notification is now shared between player’s characters in the same world.
      • Meso Market daily list count has been increased from 5 to 20.
      • For the trades registered prior to the maintenance, mesos or Maple Points will be distributed to the registered character at once.
      • Trade fee discount and additional meso/Maple Point distribution upon successful trade have been removed.
      • Players can delete a character regardless of the Meso Market trade status. Trade information will remain and it can be claimed on another character in the same world.
    • Karma type items will no longer display Scissor count information in Reboot world.
    • Mu Gong’s Soul Shard has been added to Mu Lung Dojo Point Shop.
    • Pet Revival Improvements
      • Pets that expired will be displayed as red in the inventory.
      • If the pet was equipped when it expires, it will be displayed as red in the inventory.
      • Players can double-click the Water of Life and use the cursor to click and select the pet of their choice.
    • Players will be notified with a pop-up window when Safeguard is automatically disabled during Star Force Enhancement.
    • Party members’ boss death count will be displayed on the party UI.
    • Players can now move to Cash Shop or different channels in the following boss entry waiting lobbies:
      • Lucid’s Nightmare Clocktower
      • Verus Hilla’s Altar of Despair Entrance
      • Darknell’s Final Horizon Fore
    • Character’s skin information can now be checked in the Cash tab from the Equipment Inventory UI.
    • The in-game player report count has been increased from 10 to 15.
    • Clean Slate Scroll will be replaced with Pure Clean Slate Scroll.
      • Clean Slate Scroll in player’s possession will also be replaced with Pure Clean Slate Scroll.
      • The item will not be destroyed if Pure Clean Slate Scroll is used.
      • Note: Cursed Clean Slate Scroll will not be changed and may destroy the item upon failure.
    • V Matrix
      • The color and effect of the selected node was changed to further distinguish between selected nodes and newly obtained nodes.
      • Node lock function has been added to prevent important nodes from being disassembled or enhanced accidentally.
        • The lock/unlock option can be accessed when right clicking the desired node.
        • Players must enter PIC to successfully unlock the locked node.
        • Locked nodes will have a lock icon displayed on the bottom right of the skill icon.
      • Fixed the issue where clicking another part of the UI would unselect all the nodes that were selected so far.
      • Select All feature has been added only for when disassembling the nodes.
        • Select All feature selects all nodes except for locked and equipped nodes.
        • After the Select All feature is used, players can click individual nodes to deselect them.

    Growth Improvements

    • Max damage limit has been increased from 10 billion to 150 billion damage.
    • Max meso capacity limit has been increased from 29,999,999,999 to 99,999,999,999 (100 billion) mesos.
    • Required EXP for leveling from Lv. 210 to Lv. 249 has been reduced.
    • Arcane River Quest Improvements
      • The EXP obtained upon completion of the last storyline quests in the Arcane River region has been increased.
      • The amount of Arcane Symbols obtained upon completion of Vanishing Journey and Chu Chu Island daily quests have been increased.
        • After completing Reverse City questline and ‘[Vanishing Journey] Reverse City Investigation Request’ quest, the ‘[Daily Quest] Vanishing Journey Investigation’ quest rewards will be doubled.
        • After completing Yum Yum Island questline and ‘[Chu Chu Island] Master Lyck's Request’ quest, the ‘[Daily Quest] Chu Chu's Finest Cuisine’ quest rewards will be doubled.
        • New missions that include defeating monsters from Reverse City and Yum Yum Island have been added to Vanishing Journey and Chu Chu Island daily quests. Reverse City or Yum Yum Island questline must be completed for these new missions to appear respectively.
    • Boss Drop Improvements
      • The following bosses will now drop Arcane Umbra equipment when defeated:
        • Gloom (Chaos)
        • Darknell (Hard)
        • Verus Hilla
        • Black Mage
    • Death Penalty Changes
      • Death penalty has been changed so that the character will receive a debuff that reduces EXP obtained and drop rate by 80% upon death.
      • Death penalty debuff duration varies from 5 minutes to 130 minutes max based on the character’s level.
      • Safety Charms have been changed to immediately cancel the EXP obtained and drop rate reduction debuff upon character’s death.
      • The effects that used to reduce the amount of EXP lost upon death have been changed to reduce the new death penalty debuff duration.
      • Death penalty debuff duration will decrease when the character is online.
      • Buff duration and skill reset effect are not applied to the death penalty debuff.
      • If character dies while it already had the death penalty debuff applied, the debuff will be refreshed based on the character’s level.
      • Characters will now revive with their HP/MP, Demon Force, Mana, and Time Force full as default.
    • The bonus EXP obtained when defeating monsters 1 level above or below the character has been increased from +10% to +20%.
    • The amount of mesos monsters drop has been adjusted for Lv. 265 and above.
    • Monster Park Improvements
      • EXP obtained upon completion of the Vanishing Journey stage has been increased.
      • The Skywhale maps in the Chu Chu Island stage have been simplified.
      • Lachelein stage has been added. Characters that completed the ‘[Lachelein] Decisive Battle’ quest can enter the stage.

    • If Finisher - Hunter's Prey skill cannot be activated because Aran was unable to use movement skills, a notification message will now be displayed.

    • Fixed the issue where if Kaiser previously used Tempest Blades skill while in Final Form and then moved to a map where its use was restricted, the skill could not be used until the character moved to a map with monsters again.
    • Fixed the issue where it appeared as if HP was being consumed again if Angelic Buster moved a certain distance in Dress Up mode after using a skill that consumes HP in a normal state.
    • The additional hit that gets activated by Zero's Transcendent Rhinne's Prayer skill is no longer activated by Weapon Aura's Aura Wave.
    • Fixed the issue where Kinesis's Kinetic Jaunt skill could be used to cancel other skill actions even in maps where Kinetic Jaunt was restricted.
    • If the character dies after an object was thrown by Kinesis's Psychic Tornado skill, the object will now disappear immediately.
    • Fixed the issue where Micro Black Hole effect would appear twice to other characters when Kinesis's Ultimate - Psychic Shockwave skill was used
    • When Kinesis's Ultimate - Psychic Shockwave skill is consecutively used, a new Micro Black Hole will not be created if one already exists.
    • If Ark uses Charge Spell Amplifier skill while it has received the Charge Spell Amplifier buff from a party member, its own skill effect will now be applied first.
    • Fixed the issue where Phantom using Shroud while holding down an arrow key would cause the skill to be canceled.

    • The ratio of the current EXP to the EXP required to level up a character to Lv. 200 or above will be displayed up to three decimal places.

    • The HP gauge of the party member on a mount will now be fixed above the character's head regardless of the motion.

    • If a player expands all inventory slots in Reboot world, they will no longer be able to purchase more Inventory Slot Expansion Coupons from the shop.
    • If a character tries to pick up items without moving a certain number of times, Pick Up will be disabled until after the character moves.
    • The number of times a player can input the Pick Up key without moving the character before the restriction will be increased to a number that will no longer be an inconvenience when completing regular content.

    Neo Burning World


    [Updated June 17] UTC: June 9 (after maintenance) – August 25 (before maintenance)

    • Prepare yourself, Burning World is back up and running to help you power through the early levels!
    • Burning World is a special world with special rules that will exist only for the event duration, filled with boosts to make it easier to level up fast.
    • Burning World is available for both NA and EU regions.
    • All characters created in Burning World will receive a ‘Burning’ skill.
      • Burning: EXP +1.5x, Weapon ATT/Magic ATT +50, Damage against normal monsters +30%, Boss Damage +30%, Critical Rate +30%, Critical Damage +30%.
    • There are additional Burning World Character Level Achievement Perks that can be claimed once per world by any character, regardless of it being a ‘Burning’ character or not, in Burning World once they reach the listed level requirement.
      • Burning World Character Level Achievement Perks rewards cannot be claimed again even if you delete the character that claimed them.
    • After the Burning World event duration ends, up to 6 characters that are at least Lv. 150 will get to participate in the Neo Burning World Leap.
      • The characters that meet the requirement can be transferred to any non-Reboot worlds only. You can only transfer within your region.

    Mega Burning Project

    • You can create up to 2 Mega Burning characters in Burning World. Additional characters can still be created to benefit from the ‘Burning’ skill but they cannot be given the ‘Burning’ effect.
      • You can also participate in the Neo Tera Burning Plus event in Burning World. If you choose to do so, you are unable to Tera Burn a character in other worlds in that account.
      • Zero and Kain characters cannot be selected as a ‘Burning’ character.
      • Please note that only up to six characters can participate in the World Leap after the Burning World event duration ends.
      • You may use Character Slot Coupons obtained from Fairy Bros, Daily Gift, and event shops. However, the expanded slots will not be transferred when your characters World Leap.
    • After creating a new character, you will be given an option to give it a ‘Burning’ effect.
    • Please note that you cannot go back to give it a ‘Burning’ effect after refusing to do so during character creation.
    • After your character reaches Lv. 10, they will begin to earn two additional levels every time your character gains a level up, all the way to Lv. 150.
    • Accept the ‘Claim your gift during the Mega Burning Project!’ quest from the star event notifier on the left side of the screen to receive the Mega Burning rewards listed below.
    • Accept ‘[Burning World] New Character Celebration!’ quest from the star event notifier on the left side of the screen on your Mega Burning character to receive the additional Burning World Mega Burning rewards listed below.
    • You can still receive the Mega Burning rewards and the Burning World Mega Burning rewards if you delete the existing ‘Burning’ character and create a new ‘Burning’ character.
    • Illium characters need to complete their Illium questline first before teleporting out of the area. Otherwise, they won’t be able to properly advance to 2nd Job.

    Neo Burning World Leap

    Requirement: Lv. 150 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2). Only for characters in Burning World.

    • Did you have a blast training in Burning World? It’s time to leave Burning World behind and find yourself a new home.
    • [Updated June 17] Your characters will be moved to the Burning Leap Zone map after the maintenance where you can proceed with World Leap by talking to NPC Mover.
    • Your characters, regardless of whether they are a ‘Burning’ character or not, must be Lv. 150 and above to World Leap. Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2.
    • You can move up to six characters that meet the requirements.
    • Characters can be transferred to any non-Reboot worlds only. You can only transfer within your region.
    • You may send your Burning characters all to the same world, or to different worlds.
    • You can move the character even if you don’t have an empty character slot in the world you chose.
      • If you have reached the max character limit in the world you chose, you will have to delete a character first and create an empty slot before moving your Burning World characters to that world.
      • If the world you chose has empty character slots, one of the open character slots will be used.
    • Your character must leave or disband their Guild before proceeding with World Leap.
      • When you talk to Mover, you will be given an option to Disband the Guild or the Alliance. You can also use the Guild UI to leave the Guild.
    • The leaped character will have the Neo Core amount and Neo Force skill level of the leaped world.
    • Your character's equipped items, inventory, and mesos will be transferred with your character.
    • Items in your Cash Shop Inventory, Storage, Auction House, and mail will not be moved. Please remember to move these items to your inventory before World Leap.
    • Game information, such as rankings and special medals (Donation King, etc.), will not be moved.
    • Expanded character slots in Burning World will not be transferred.

    Neo Tera Burning Plus

    Requirement: This event can only be started by characters created during the event period. (Zero and Kain characters cannot participate in this event.)

    • Tera Burning Plus event returns in celebration of our Neo update! It’s time to get your character to level 200 fast!
    • After creating a new character, you will be given an option to give it a ‘Burning’ effect.
    • You cannot go back to give it a ‘Burning’ effect after refusing to do so during character creation.
    • You can only Tera Burn 1 character per account for each part of the event.
      • The ‘Burning’ effect will only last during each part of the event.
      • Ex. The ‘Burning’ character created during Part 1 will lose its ‘Burning’ effect after July 20 at 11:59 PM UTC.
    • After your ‘Burning’ character reaches Lv. 10, they will begin to earn two additional levels each time your character gains a level up to Lv. 200.
    • You will receive special Tera Burning Rewards when your ‘Burning’ character meets the listed level milestones.
      • If you’ve obtained the Tera Burning Rewards and deleted the character, a newly created ‘Burning’ character will be able to receive the rewards again.
    • Maplers, it’s not over yet! Once your ‘Burning’ character reaches Lv. 200, you can obtain Bonus Rewards up until Lv. 220!
      • Lv. 200 - 210 Bonus Rewards can be obtained once per world for each part of the event. If you’ve obtained the Bonus Rewards and deleted the character, a newly created ‘Burning’ character will not be able to receive the rewards again.

    • When Grandis and Maple World came together, their seas merged and it created a mysterious castle where the seas first met. The place shines like a galaxy and they call it Neo Castle!
    • Accept the ‘[Neo] <Neo Castle> - Mysterious Castle Over the Sea’ quest within the star event notifier on the left side of the screen.
    • Upon accepting the quest, you will automatically be moved to the Neo Castle map.
    • Participate in the Neo Castle events to collect Neo Stones, Neo Gems, and Neo Cores!
    • You can earn up to 300 Neo Stones daily per character.
    • You can earn up to 100 Neo Gems daily per character.
    • You can earn up to 400 Neo Cores weekly per world.
      • Neo Core capacity limit resets every Thursday 12:00 AM UTC.

    Neo Stones

    • Neo Stones can be obtained from the following events:
      • Renee's Magic Orb
      • Renee's Magic Music Box
      • Leo's Travel Journal
    • Use the Neo Stones to purchase items from the Neo Stone Shop!
    • As you accumulate more Neo Stones, you will unlock additional items from the Neo Stone Shop and Neo Meso Shop.

    Neo Gems

    • Neo Gems can be obtained from the following mini-games:

    • Use the Neo Gems to purchase items from the Neo Gem Shop!

    Neo Cores

    • Neo Cores can be obtained from defeating weekly bosses. (Daily and monthly bosses do not count.)
      • The amount of Neo Core rewards differ based on the boss. See the table below for more information.
    • Neo Cores for clearing each boss can be obtained once a week per world.
      • Ex. Clearing Hilla (Hard) on character A and character B in the same world during the same week will only give 5 Neo Cores.
    • Once you’ve defeated the weekly boss, talk to the Collector and select the ‘I want a <Neo Core>’ option to receive the collected Neo Cores.
    • The obtained Neo Cores must be collected prior to the weekly boss reset on Thursday 12:00 AM UTC.

    Neo Crystal Challenge

    Requirement: Lv. 101 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2). Your character must have completed the ‘[Neo] <Neo Castle> - Mysterious Castle Over the Sea’ quest. Only available for characters that obtained 300 Neo Stones for the day.

    • The key to personal growth is continuous effort and Cartalion has a combat training regimen suitable for you!
    • Accept ‘[Neo] Neo Crystal Challenge’ quest by talking to Cartalion on Neo Castle map.
    • You can only participate in the Neo Crystal Challenge after the character has obtained 300 Neo Stones for that day.
    • The challenge has a total of 12 stages where you must defeat as many Crystal Specter, Crystal Magnus, and Crystal Specter Battle Hound monsters within two minutes to achieve a high score.
    • The higher your score, the more Crystal Points you will receive.
    • You can earn up to 1,500 Crystal Points daily per world.
    • You can challenge again and if you beat your best record of the day, you will receive Crystal Points that make up the difference between the new and the previous score.
    • You can use the Crystal Points to purchase any of the available growth potions. The growth potions can be purchased until August 29 at 11:59 PM UTC.
    • There is no purchase limit for each of the growth potions.
    • Crystal Points are shared between your characters in the same world.

    • Upon accepting the quest, you will acquire the ‘Renee's Magic Orb’ skill.
    • Defeat monsters near your level (20 levels below and 20 levels above) with Renee's Magic Orb skill. Each time you collect Erda, you’ll receive Neo Stones and fill up the Magic Orb Gauge.
      • Large concentrations of Erda may appear with a small chance and when you collect it, your Magic Orb Gauge will be filled immediately.
    • While the Magic Orb Gauge is filled and its power is activated, Neo Stones will drop when you defeat a monster near your level.

    • This is a 4-player tactical card game. The goal of the game is for you to get rid of all the cards in your hand before your opponents.
    • Each player will receive 7 cards. When it’s your turn, you can place one card that either matches the color or the number of the card currently placed on the top of the pile.
    • You must draw a card if you have no cards to play.
    • You will immediately lose the game if you hold 17 or more cards in your hands at any time.
    • Use special cards, like magic cards and attack cards, wisely to deal damage or to evade attacks.

    • Talk to Maru located on the Neo Castle map to complete in Reverse Battle!
    • This is a reversi-style game where you inflict damage to your opponent by flipping stone pieces on the board.
    • The more pieces you flip over at once, the higher the damage dealt.
    • When you place a piece on the board, you must surround at least one of your opponent's pieces between yours (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal). The opponent's pieces that are in between will change to your pieces and they'll also receive damage to their HP.
    • Whoever reduces the opponent's HP to 0 first or has more HP once no more pieces can be played, wins.
    • If you exceed the given time during your turn, the game will place your piece for you. You will not earn points when the game plays your turn for you.
    • If the game plays for you 3 times, you will receive a penalty and will not receive rewards. If you receive a penalty, you cannot participate in the game for 15 minutes.
    • If you reach your Neo Gem capacity for the day, you can still participate in the game but no longer obtain Neo Gems.

    • The game will end if you fail to stack the new floor on top of the one beneath or if the 5 minute time limit passes.
