    Dr. Kim’s Daily Quests


    UTC: February 28 (after maintenance) – March 27 at 11:59 PM

    Requirement: Lv. 33 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2).

    • MapleStory has teamed up with the popular Evangelion anime movies to bring you themed events and fun rewards!
    • A laboratory incident creates an inter-dimensional rift that allows the heroes of Evangelion to come to Maple World. Prepare to meet Evangelions, the amazing heroes that pilot them, and invading Angels in this special limited-time crossover event!
    • Accept the quest ‘[Evangelion] Dr. Kim's Request’ from the event notifier on the left side of the screen to begin.
    • Dr. Kim has several daily quests and he needs your help.
    • Stay logged in for 30 minutes to charge a battery, collect alloys from monsters within your level range (20 levels below and 20 levels above), and activate Runes.
    • Complete each of the three daily quests from Dr. Kim to receive EVA Coins.
    • Complete each quest multiple times to earn additional coins.

    Evangelion Pilot Daily Quests


    UTC: February 28 (after maintenance) – March 27 at 11:59 PM

    Requirement: Lv. 33 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2).

    • The Evangelion pilots are unfamiliar with Maple World, and are curious to know more about it!
    • Accept the quest from each Evangelion pilot from the event notifier on the left side of the screen to begin.
    • The pilots have several daily quests so that they can learn more about Maple World.
    • Complete Mu Lung Dojo up to the 5th floor twice, defeat Zakum and collect the Faded Eye of Fire he drops, and complete Monster Park twice.
    • Complete each of the three daily quests from the Evangelion pilots to receive EVA Coins.
    • Complete each quest multiple times to earn additional coins, and a special gift from each pilot.

    Rewards:

    • Shinji's Cassette Player: Grants Weapon ATT/Magic ATT +20 for 1 hour.
    • Rei's Maple World Diary: Grants 2x EXP for 1 hour.

    4th Angel Invasion


    UTC: February 28 (after maintenance) – March 27 at 11:59 PM

    Requirement: Lv. 33 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2).

    • The experiments of Alien X have summoned beings from the world of Evangelion into Maple World. Every 2 hours, monster-like Angels will appear!
    • The 4th Angel appears in major towns including Henesys, Orbis, El Nath, Leafre, and Magatia. It appears every 2 hours from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM (UTC).
    • Work together with other players to take it down!
    • Defeat the 4th Angel within the time limit to receive EVA Coins.

    6th Angel Invasion


    UTC: February 28 (after maintenance) – March 27 at 11:59 PM

    Requirement: Lv. 33 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2).

    • The 6th Angel appears in Omega Sector. Accept the quest ‘[Evangelion] Eliminate 6th Angel’ to move to the event map.
    • Enter the correct directional keys as they appear in order to help the Evangelion pilots aim the Positron Rifle at the 6th Angel!
    • If you enter the correct directional keys, you’ll move to the next step, which goes even faster.
    • Depending on how many steps you complete, you’ll receive a grade from D to SS. The higher your grade, the more EVA Coins you’ll receive.
    • This can be completed twice per day.

    Evangelion Coin Shop

    Skill Updates

    • All of the Soul Weapon skills have had their cast time reduced.

    All Magician Jobs

    • Ethereal Form: Jobs with no MP will now use HP instead. If the Job utilizes MP, then the skill ends when MP is depleted.

    All Explorer Mage Jobs

    • Infinity: Final Damage is instantly gained upon casting. Final Damage that is gained over time has been decreased. The max increase limit for Final Damage has been removed.

    Arch Mage (Fire, Poison)

    • Inferno Aura: Increased the damage and attack counts but decreased the max number of monsters that can be attacked and increased the interval between each attack.

    Arch Mage (Ice, Lightning)

    • Freezing Breath: Cooldown has been increased.
    • Ice Age: Damage has been increased but the duration of the frozen ground has been decreased.

    Bishop

    • Blessed Ensemble/Blessed Harmony: Decreased the amount of Final Damage that is given in proportion to the number of party members.
    • Angel Ray: Damage has been increased.

    All Explorer Bowman Jobs

    • Fury of the Wild: When the skill completes, the Phoenix or Frostprey (depending on class) is automatically summoned.

    Bow Master

    • Reckless Hunt: Bow: Reduced the DEF decrease.

    Shadower

    • Assassinate: Extra damage based on Kill Points has been replaced with a Final Damage boost.

    Dual Blade

    • Asura's Anger: Damage has been increased.

    Corsair

    • Eight-Legs Easton: Increased the attack range.

    Wind Archer

    • Albatross: You can now right-click the skill icon to turn off the cape effect.

    Night Walker

    • Dark Servant: Reduced the casting delay.
    • Quintuple Star: Damage has been increased.
    • Shadow Illusion: Reduced the casting delay.

    Thunder Breaker

    • Deep Rising: Invincibility has been added while using skill.

    Mihile

    • Expert Sword Mastery: Critical Rate and Critical Damage increment has been increased.
    • Sword of Light: While on cooldown, a Sword of Light will automatically be summoned at set intervals when attacking.

    Evan

    • Support Jump: When used during a Dragon Skill, Return! is automatically activated then Support Jump is activated.
    • Thunder Flash: Damage has been increased.

    Mercedes

    • Elven Grace: A function has been added that increases damage to normal monsters.
    • Rising Rush: Damage and the last attack's number of hits has been increased.
    • Aerial Barrage: Changed the increasing damage attack of Rising Rush to increasing damage by % point.
    • Gust Dive: Increased the Damage and Number of Attacks.
    • Ignis Roar: Increased the Buff duration.
    • Ishtar's Ring: Added increase to Unicorn Spike’s damage by % point but removed increasing damage of Stunning Strikes functionality.
    • Spikes Royale: Increased Damage and changed increasing Tornado’s damage to increasing damage by % point.
    • Lightning Edge: Changed increasing damage of Gust Dive to increasing damage by % point.
    • Rolling Moonsault: Changed increasing damage of Rising Rush and Aerial Barrage to increasing damage by % point.
    • Staggering Strikes: Damage has been increased.

    Phantom

    • Mille Aiguilles: Damage has been increased.

    Luminous

    • Gate of Light: Added Increased Damage when attacking a single enemy.

    Demon Slayer

    • Demon Lash: Casting Delay has been reduced.
    • Raven Storm: Invincibility has been added during skill use and the cooldown has been increased.
    • Demon Impact: Damage has been increased.
    • Demon Cry: Casting Delay has been reduced.

    Battle Mage

    • Condemnation: Added new UI to show when skill will activate. Removed buff icon.

    Xenon

    • Core Overload: Decreased damage of Plasma Current but increased activation period. Changed MP consumption from percentage of current MaxMP to MaxMP at the time of cast.

    Mechanic

    • Mech: Changes made so that the character debuff effect is now displayed above the character's head. You can now ride the Mech again after abnormal statuses like petrify have been cleared.
    • Doomsday Device: Changes made so that it will not attack, even though it doesn't disappear while not riding a Mech.

    Kaiser

    • Final Form: The jump delay has been reduced while transformed. Air Lift can now also be used while transformed.
    • Blade Burst: Changes made so this skill can now be used while jumping. A specific effect has been added when this skill is used while jumping.
    • Ancestral Prominence: Changes made so the skill grants invincibility.

    Angelic Buster

    • Soul Resonance: Damage for the skill and the damage reduction while casting the skill have both been increased.

    Zero

    • Doubletime - Strength: When at the maximum amount of stacks, attack speed for Beta is increased.

    Kinesis

    • Ultimate - Trainwreck: Psychic Point consumption has been reduced.

    Hayato

    • Unfaltering Blade: Critical Damage has been increased.

    Kanna

    • Spirit Path: Critical Damage has been increased.

    Cadena

    • Summon Brick: The vertical attack range of the skill has been decreased.
    • Summon Spiked Bat: The vertical attack range for the final attack in the skill has been reduced.

    Illium

    • Deploy Crystal: Changes made so the Crystal can be moved while Reaction skills are activated.
    • Reaction - Destruction Ⅱ: Changes made so the skill now deals increased damage when attacking bosses.
    • Wings of Glory: Changes made so the skill now deals increased damage when attacking bosses.
    • Crystal Ignition: Changes made so the skill now deals increased damage when attacking bosses.
    • Reaction - Spectral Blast: Changes made so the skill now deals increased damage when attacking bosses.
    Profession Updates

    • Learning any of the following professions (Alchemy, Smithing, or Accessory Crafting) will unlock the Fuse Equipment and Extraction option.
      • When fusing two items with Potential, the product of the fusion will automatically be granted Potential.
      • Fusing items with high Potential rank will result in a fused item with the same Potential rank as the original item.
      • Fusing items with different Potential ranks will result in an item that ranges between the Potential ranks of the original items.
      • Fusing items of a certain Potential rank has a higher chance of the resulting item being of the same Potential rank.
      • Pocket items can be Fused and Extracted.
      • Fusing items will no longer increase Profession Mastery.
      • Both Smithing and Accessory Crafting can extract up to 5 items.
      • Alchemy can extract up to 10 items.
      • The time to Fuse, Extract, and Craft has been reduced.
    • New Enhancement skills have been added after reaching 'Craftsman' rank or higher for Smithing and Accessory Crafting.
    • There are new profession crafting items: Magic Whetstone and Magic Emerstone.
    Chat Updates

    • The chat window can now be moved around the game screen.
    • An option for 'External Chat' has been added. Going into 'Options' and enabling 'External Chat' will activate the chat window outside of the client. (This only works in windowed mode).
    • You can add new tabs to the chat window and adjust the chat filter of each tab except for the 'All' and 'Battle' tabs.
    • A new 'Help' button has been added to the text input section of the chat. Using the 'Help' button will show a list of /commands that can be used.
    Free Market Removal

    • Portals to the Free Market maps have been removed. If your character was in one of these maps when the game went down for maintenance, you will still be able to move out of the map.
    • Items you had in your merchant shop during maintenance will be moved to NPC Fredrick. Please visit Fredrick to claim your items.
    • Auction House and direct player-to-player trade will be the main methods of buying and selling items between players going forward.
    • MVP Diamond Mega Pack's MVP Diamond Shop reward has been removed.
    • We will be sending out compensation for un-redeemed Hired Merchant codes from Marvel Machine, and for unused time on the 30-day and 90-day Hired Merchant items.
    Trade System Updates

    • The Auction House has been updated with new 'Market Price' and 'Wish List' tabs.
      • The 'Market Price' tab lets you search for detailed information about recent transactions including the Closing Price and the Transaction Date.
      • Items found in the 'Market Price' tab can be added to the 'Wish List' or purchased directly from the 'Market Price' tab.
      • Up to 10 items can be saved to the 'Wish List'.
      • Selecting the saved items in the 'Wish List' will let you 'Search Market Price', perform a 'General Search' or even 'Buy' the item directly.
    • Transaction fees have been unified to be 5%, regardless of the item price.
    Stellar Detectives Reopens

    • The initial quests to complete the questlines are now easier.
      • The quest '[Stellar Detectives] Canvassing the Neighborhood' has changed from hunting 500 monsters near your level to 50 monsters near your level.
      • The quest '[Stellar Detectives] Garbage in the Wind' has changed from collecting 100 Litter items to 10 Litter items.
      • The quest '[Stellar Detectives] Traces of Mana' has changed from collecting 200 Mana Particles to 20 Mana Particles.
      • The quest '[Stellar Detectives] A Space-Gun for Hire' has changed from collecting 200 Valuable Loot to 20 Valuable Loot.
      • The quest '[Stellar Detectives] The Price of Knowledge' has changed from collecting 300 Awesome Monster Loot to 30 Awesome Monster Loot.
      • The quest '[Stellar Detectives] Tiger Trackers' has changed from collecting 50 Strange Animal Fur to 5 Strange Animal Fur.
    • The daily entry limit for the dungeon has increased from 3 to 5.
    • The laser damage from the dungeon has been decreased.
    • The final reward EXP multiplier has been increased.
    • An issue where the Rather Fatal Rawr Ring had an incorrect Critical % has been fixed.
    • An issue where the Stellar Detective rings had incorrect variable potential stats has been fixed and the potential stats are now a fixed number. All players' rings in their inventory have been adjusted to reflect the intended stats for the weapon. If your ring had a different stat than intended, the ring's stats have been changed.
    Showa Town Revamp

    • Showa Town, Mushroom Shrine and the surrounding areas have been revamped (excluding Sengoku Era and Momijigaoka).
    • The level range of monsters and quests has been increased to start at Lv. 160 instead of Lv. 35.
    • Several quests have been removed.
    • Ninja Castle quests that previously started at Lv. 160 now start at Lv. 170.
    • Several items have been removed from NPC Faito's rewards.
    • NPC Perry has been added and can transport you between Showa Town, Ninja Castle, Mushroom Shrine, and the Six Path Crossway.
    Other Improvements


    [Updated Feb. 28]

    • The groups in your Buddy List can be edited or deleted by right-clicking on the group name. Any friends from the deleted group will be moved to an unassigned group.
    • The Guild Invitation function has improved by allowing character invites from other channels, and by displaying the guild name in the invitation.
    • We've increased the blacklist limit to 100 characters, and have added the ability to blacklist a Guild.
    • Conversations from blacklisted characters are now blocked.
    • Blacklisted guild invitations will automatically be rejected.
    • The /find command has been removed. Players can find their friends from their Buddy list.
    • Teleport Rocks can now only be used by players that grant permission to use the item. Go to Settings/Options/Social to uncheck the option to allow the use of a Teleport Rock.
    • When participating in the Ursus fight through Quick Matching with 10 or more players (depending on the party members that received an E Rank), players that didn't receive an E rank will have their score increased. This will be reflected after showing the total score.
    • Pets will now move away from the character if they are blocking the character while standing still.
    • Pets will now show their pet commands in their tooltips.
    • Pet Food Merchants will no longer sell Pet Command Guides.
    • The MapleStory icon has been updated.
    • Decent skills granted from Nebulites can now be allocated to Pets with the Auto-Buff Skill.
    Bug Fixes

    • Commerci weapons will now be available for Cadena and Illium.
    • The tooltips of several Cash items will be updated to list the correct weapons they cover.
    • Androids that had lost access to their shops will have their shop access restored.
    • Emperor Toad will have its drop table updated.
    • Various Illium quests that were inaccurate will be corrected.
    • An issue where familiars were invisible in their tooltip and while summoned will be fixed so that the familiars appear.
    • An issue where NLC Taxi had the wrong text when sending the player to Bent Tree will be fixed.
    • An issue where the quest '[Gold Beach] Floating Away' had incorrect text will be fixed.
    • An issue where NPC Huey showed up in the wrong location during the quest 'Investigating the Package' will be fixed so he does not overlap with NPC Blair.
    • An issue where Vellum animations had graphical issues will be fixed.
    • An issue where NPC Spindle was still referencing MapleStory TCG will be fixed.

    • The further away from their destination passengers are, the more fare they will pay.
    • You may spend fare to upgrade your taxi's speed and number of seats, allowing you pick up more passengers.

    • Click the invitation that appears over your character's head at the 15-minute and 45-minute mark of every hour to participate in the Detective Kemdi mini-game.
    • Up to 100 players can participate in the three-digit code guessing mini-game.
    • Players are given a chance to enter a code every 10 seconds.
      • A "O" is displayed if one of the numbers entered is the correct number and in the correct position.
      • A "△" is displayed if one of the entered number is correct but in the wrong position.
      • A "X" is displayed if the entered number does not match any in the code.
    • If the code is correct, you will be placed in the ranking and can wait for the next round.
    • Rewards are given automatically based on ranking. If your inventory is full, the coins will be given in the exit map after the game ends.
    • There are a total of 5 rounds with 15 turns each. The round will automatically end when 30 players get the code correct.

    • Talk to NPC Cassandra to enter a hunting ground where up to 10 players can be placed in the same map at the same time (although not in a party). If you are in a party and go to the Spitfire map, the party will be disbanded upon entry.
    • In Spitfire, you use Pop Coins to summon monsters to hunt! You can only see and hunt your own monsters. You will receive 120% additional bonus EXP from monsters that you summon.
    • Pay NPC Cassandra 10 Pop Coins to spawn 500 monsters.
    • Your level determines the daily limit of how many monsters you can summon.

    • If you leave the map or disconnect from the game, the monsters summoned will stay. Talking to Cassandra while the monsters are summoned allows you to change the monster type.
    • You can summon Arcane River monsters if your character has access to that area.
    Deplorable Maple

    Requirement: Lv. 33 and above

    • Hunt Elite Monsters in Maple World! Every 3 times an Elite Monster is spawned, the Elite Deplorable Maple Monsters will appear! These are the Grim Orange Mushroom, Grim Slime, and Grim Ribbon Pig.
    • When eliminated, a bonus stage appears with more mini-Deplorable Maple Monsters that grant a large amount of EXP when eliminated.
    Standoff

    Requirement: Lv. 33 and above

    • Accept the quest "[MFF] Standoff" via the star event notifier after completing the quest "[MFF] Film Festival Premiere".
    • Grizzly, Panda, and Tae Roon have lost the film for their movie! They have asked for your assistance in recovering the lost movie film.
    • There are two ways to obtain Film Points:
      • Obtain the Film Scraps item by hunting monsters within your level range (20 levels below and 20 levels above).
      • Stay logged in while in towns: Henesys, Leafre, Perion, Sleepywood, Orbis, El Nath, Ludibrium, Magtia, Edelstein, Haven, Mu Lung, Deserted Camp, Pantheon, Nameless Town, Chu Chu Village, Lachelein Main Street, Go to Grove of the Spirit Tree, or Trueffret Square.
    • Each time 100 Film Points are accumulated, the number of Film Reels you can receive increases. Use the Film Reels items to obtain Pop Coins.
    • 100 Film Reels can be obtained daily on each character. 10,000 Film Points can be obtained daily.
    • On certain Sunny Sundays (March 25 and April 1) the amount will double, which means you can use up to 200 Film Reels and obtain a maximum of 20,000 Film Points!
