I think this would be a fun thread to see the popularity of each archer. Personally I think my favorite is actually mercedes but I still need to play wind archer and bowmaster.
Ideally fun and/or theme of the class, but if your favorite is based on the dpm chart then I guess that works too.
Wind Archer was my main in Reboot for the past year. I loved how aesthetically pleasing it was, plus it's surprisingly strong and easy to fund.
The Marksman class is pretty cool in my eyes. They have a skill that hits one huge number for people that enjoy big numbers and a less cluttered screen. They have a great mobility skill called "Hookshot" to get them across training maps easily. Not to mention, they are great at both mobbing and bossing alike! Another plus is the fact that Marksman is one of the original Explorer classes, something I think is fantastic because it makes Marksman players true to Maplestory's roots.
Wild hunter is the closest you can get to a tank archer. In case you noobs haven't realised. Tanks are the bes
I have played all the archer classes and my vote would have to go with Wind Archer because of their flashy skills. Their bright colors with arrows flying everywhere made me enjoy playing the class a lot. Not only is it flashy, but they are also easy to fund as they are one of the classes that have the least amount of nodes you need to enhance.
Mercedes is a super fun class once you unlock all their skills and start learning how to combo efficiently. That said, it's way too engaging for me personally. I used to main a Ranger a super long time ago but Bowmasters are really disappointing now. Wind Archer was the first class I ever hit 120 on (right when it was released) so i'm pretty biased towards it, but they're the most visually pleasing. I wish there was more lore for Irena, she's introduced right at the end of Mihile's questline but it ends abruptly. I'd love for Nexon to eventually do an Irena class because it'd be interesting to learn more about her, but I don't have a lot of faith in Nexon doing the Cygnus Knight instructors justice. Bowmen are seriously lacking classes compared to the others.
Wild hunter, purely because it was the first class I ever yeehaw'd to 200 during the resistance revamp thing in early 2015.
